Why We Like The Forerunner 255S Music
Situated right in the middle of the Forerunner lineup from Garmin, the Forerunner 255S Music smartwatch is a low-profile option that helps us dial in our running and training gains. Designed to mirror the Forerunner 255’s feature set, the 255S has a slightly smaller display and lighter design that’s perfect for smaller users or dynamic exercise. This smartwatch boasts pace management features, settings to regulate our nutrition intake, and even race-specific training regimens. Plus, it has a wide range of adventure-ready features like a multi-band GPS, submersible design, and preset profiles for disciplines ranging from paddling to backcountry skiing. This Music version of the Forerunner 255S lets you change tunes without your phone.

Good for regular running stat tracking and trainin
I've been using this for about a month and I'm happy with the watch. GPS is a lot more accurate so is my heart rate and other stats. It syncs my Runna training plan and notify me when I'm not in pace range. I'll consider buying a Fenix when I get more into trail running

Huge upgrade
I upgraded from a Forerunner 235 to the 255s and can't believe the improvement. The watch fits my wrist better, the GPS connection is significantly faster, battery life is longer, and most importantly, I can listen to music without my phone. Set up was a breeze and I'm still playing around and learning all the new features. I'll be keeping my 235 as a back-up but the 255 is quickly becoming my daily watch.

Great watch
I bought about three weeks ago and it’s been great so far. I’m working through a half marathon plan and I love how it adjusts week by week.

Enjoying my new Forerunner 255S
I've only had my Forerunner 255S for a few weeks, but I'm really liking it. It's lighter than the other Garmin watches I've had previously, and it recharges much faster. I like the "good morning" report on the watch, and the summary in the evening. Even the buttons have a better feel to them, and the notifications can include pictures. I haven't used all of the features this watch has, but so far so good!

lots of features, long battery life
I bought this watch about a month ago deciding to give it a try. The sleep monitoring is fascinating and so far it tracks all the activities I do (running, treadmill, elliptical, ice hockey). I was surprised to even use it on a treadmill and the distance on the watch matched the treadmill! I love the smaller face size for my small female wrist though the thickness can get caught on tight sleeves. The battery lasts me over a week without recharging doing normal activities and a 4 tracking exercises per week. I have not used the music feature yet, but intend on installing soon for those longer runs.

What a watch
Each upgrade of my Garmin has been at least one step up. This most recent upgrade (255S music) is amazing. I'm not a professional runner. Many have said I'm not even a runner as I run/walk, but i did finish my first marathon at 50 and plan on beating that time at 60. 255S music was purchased so that I could have music without having to have my phone. I chose the S size because I have a wrist of a 12 year old. It's taking a while to get to learn it, but I love what I've learned so far! Here's hoping it will help me get to the finish line.

LOVE this watch!
I have been using the Garmin FR255S for about a month now and it has SO many great features that I am still finding. The ability to listen to music without carrying my phone is wonderful. It has been extremely accurate for measuing distance, etc.
