The Sendr Ski is G3's fattest stick, so it's undoubtedly the best option for powderhounds and big mountain aficionados, but it also keeps a backcountry-friendly weight of three pounds per plank for touring. As if the wide 112mm waist didn't already keep you afloat in deep snow, the Sendr's early rise tip and tail help you live up to that old mantra: keep your tips up. There's just enough camber to help you spring in and out of powdery turns.

The Sendr is such a special ski that G3 ended up making a brand new construction just for it. PowerRide Plus sandwiches multiple layers of carbon and alloy between a poppy, lightweight wood core, resulting in a surprisingly stiff ski for how light it feels on the uphill. G3 added new sidewalls made of polyurethane for long-lasting durability that doesn't disturb the ski's natural flex.

I've put it through the wringer

About me: 185lb 5'10 big mountain style/advancedskier. Ambitions of looking like Hoji when I ski :) 50/50 hard resort charging and variable-length tours to technical terrain. OK so I'll start by saying that I skiied a 4frnt Hoji for a couple seasons, LOVED those skis and fell in love with the pivoty/surfy feel of reverse/flat camber as a result. that said, in firmer conditions it is nice to have the option of laying a metal ski on edge and knowing it's going to be stable and rip variable snow at speed. SO where does a guy like me who wants the best of both worlds turn? ANSWER: the Sendr. It freaking sends and the best description possible is Slarve+Charge = Slarge. You will slarge on this ski so hard. I knew I was interested in this ski when the G3 rep brought it in. I took one look at its camber/stiff flex profile, plus the unique dampening characteristics of the PU sidewall and I was sure this was the perfect quiver killer ski for me. This ski unfortunately suffers from some mixed marketing and reviews. I found several reviews that describe this ski as a LOT of ski that's difficult to control but those reviews have 2 problems--140lb reviewers (sorry Blister! I love you guys) as well as being almost exclusively mounted with G3 ion bindings--which are fantastic dont get me wrong, however my choice was to put the CAST system on these mounted +2.5 of recommended. This choice makes the ski infinitely more playful/slarvy than at recommended, PLUS the addition of a dedicated resort binding means you can get 100% of the power you need transferred to this all-metal charger's sidewalls. Long story short these skis SHINE when mounted with a non-tech binding, even with their freakishly light weight. I was hesitant to jump on a ski like this with so much carbon (read: chatter) however the PU sidewalls really aren't marketing hype--these skis were extremely damp and stable underfoot and I have not been able to find a speed limit. Which brings me to my next surprise--this ski came in at almost a pound LIGHTER than my touring-dedicated Black Crows Corvus Freebirds. Bottom line: this ski has replaced a full quiver of skis for me here in the Central Wasatch. Granted having a true resort/tour hybrid binding a-la CAST or Shift has a lot to do with it. I find with this setup/mount I can easily transition between a super forward/chargy style on firm days or ski them more centered/playful for slashes and slarves in deep conditions. I'd even consider a slightly more forward mount to take advantage of the more playful aspects of the ski. As other reviewers have said, you don't want to get in the backseat--but then that's true of almost any metal ski that is intended for high speeds and stability. G3 has made a ski that almost no other manufacturers except boutique/super independent/custom companies are making. Thanks G3, maybe make us reverse-camber fans a true reverse with this footprint next year!

ski it if you can

I've put it through the wringer

this ski is like a good coach. You sorta can't slack off while hanging out with this weapon. Gotta ski hard, fast, agressive, and stay out of the back seat. If you're ready to get sendy, it's ready. If you're out for lazy laps with children they might be a little too much. all that said, they are pretty rad. I like em, they made me a better skier g3 ambassador.

Light and Powerful!

I've put it through the wringer

What can I say, its light and powerful! As a stiff ski, these things love speed, are super stable and can handle just about anything you throw at them. I’ve skied them in varying conditions and they haven’t missed a beat. Because of their stiffness, they charge through the crud and float with ease in light pow. This is my go to backcountry ski and you can’t beat it paired with the Ion 12.

Anybody know how these bad boys handle in the trees? I'm on an Elan Ripstick 106 setup right now and like how they handle, but looking to get into a touring setup.
