These boots are magic. I love every single thing about them. Thinking about writing this review, I honestly couldn’t think of a single BAD thing that couldn’t be changed. I have wide feet, and generally wear a size 6.5 in wide shoes, but since they are a little narrower, I sized up to a 7, which fit pretty great. They are a tad long in the toe box, but not enough to make a difference for me. I think that I could have gone with the 6.5, but would have just been a little painful to break in, as most leather shoes are, and it would have taken a little longer to mold to my foot. Pros: -Get compliments, without fail, every day they are put to use -They are good in the snow!!! -The leather is so comfortable to break in; there was not a day when I was regretting wearing the shoes to a long day of work because of stiffness. They fit like a glove the moment I put them on. -Heal is the perfect height. -Improves posture -Looks great with any outfit -You have Frye boots Cons: -Difficult to get on the first couple times due to stiff leather -Stiff shoe laces, won’t stay tied very well first couple uses (well worth it, for when they do mellow out)

    Wow

I got some brownie points for this Christmas gift. She can wear them with everything, everyone wants a pair, and I love to see them on her feet. If you are looking for classic style from a company known for quality this is it.

Love these. They are classic looking, the laces were thin and leather and not what I expected but look good and hold a tie. The height is perfect without and the big winner here, the bottoms are no slip amazing. They squeaked a bit but that has worn off. I always wear a 9.5 in Frye. I have never needed to size up or down. This was TTS and perfect, second only to my Veronica Combat Frye boots.

    what is the heel height?

I see that the reviews say this boot is true to size, but I am wondering if there might be any leeway going half a size bigger or smaller. I am a size 8 but only 7.5 and 8.5 are available, so I am wondering if either of those might work for me if I am true to 8. Usually, 7.5 can work for me as well.

What is the difference between the two options “cognac” and “cognac oiled tanned full grain”?
