Though it features moto styling, Fox Racing's DH-specific Rampage Helmet drops weight in its fiberglass shell. It's not as robust as the V3 moto helmet it resembles, but the lighter shell brings the Rampage in line with what we need in a gravity lid—after all, mountain bike helmets aren't expected to absorb the same impacts as their moto counterparts. The lost grams reduce neck fatigue on the mountain while diffusing forces in the kinds of impacts we expect while riding aggressively.
It's constructed from a vented fiberglass shell for durability, which is layered over an EPS foam core to absorb diggers. On the inside, soft cheek pads, a synthetic suede lining, and a double D-ring chin strap keep the Rampage from rattling around and it won't irritate when removing for the ride up.
The shell has 11 vents, and Fox Racing made the Rampage's eye opening plenty wide for modern, peripheral-favoring goggles.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I like this helmet a lot, it is comfortable and I was surprised how well the helmet would vent for a full face helmet. This was the first full face helmet I have had and I am very satisfied and feel much more confident when taking aggressive lines and going hard.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I bought this helmet for using on downhill trails. had first reviewed this helmet in 2014, and it seems that Fox has decided to keep the same features on this year's model, and probably next year.
I'm giving this helmet 3.5 stars as it is using a double D-ring chin strap, which is extremely hard to buckle and even unbuckle with your bare hands, let alone with your gloves on.
If you take your helmet off more than once (which I suppose you do during hot summer days), it's probably not the one for you.
Other than that, this helmet is right on with the fit and looks, and does it's job perfectly!!!
Do the features and shape of this helmet take full advantage of the Leatt neck brace design? similar to the leatt brand helmets?
Please give a measuring chart or way to measure one's head to know what size helmet to order. Thank You.
I found the sizing chart. No need to answer.
