    Perfect for Cool Windy Weather

    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 190lbs

I bought this jacket for a trip to San Francisco and it was exactly what I was hoping for. I just needed something to cut the wind. I spent most of the weekend walking around in a crewneck sweatshirt and when the wind picked up or the sun went down, I added the Raven jacket to keep me warm.
The fit is definitely bigger than you get from most brands. I am a 41 slim jacket size and the Medium works well for me in the Raven jacket. Still looks a little big on me when I'm wearing it without another layering piece but the drawcord in the waist and the snaps on the sleeves reduce some of that.
The quality is definitely there. I didn't see any unfinished stitches and the look is clean.
Haven't tried the hood yet. I'm sure it's sufficient.
This was a must have for a windy weekend and rolled up nicely to fit in my Peak Designs Everyday Backpack while I was walking around the city.

    Stylish casual

This is a nice and durable casual jacket. Fits well and true to size. I wear a medium and can layer a hoody and t shirt under it comfortably. Great fall/spring jacket. I am 6 foot 170 lbs. I have worn this several times as we have had a mellow winter and it is plenty warm for me with a flannel or hoody when it is 30-40 degrees out. It is my first Fjallraven piece and so far it has met my expectations.

      Great shell jacket

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Size Bought: Large
      • Height: 6'
      • Weight: 205lbs

As always Fjällräven delivers good quality to their products. This one fit the bill nicely for durability and usability. It’s good looking and I get to hear it from both friends and strangers on the street.

      +
With the extra material sown in over the back you get bigger movement when reaching for something (the jacket doesn’t slide up over your waist for example).
      Great quality.
      Looks good.

      -
Runs large, length wise top to bottom it’s spot on but for the arms it’s too long and looks kind of funny when the ends sort of hide half of your hands.
Really thin! Best for spring or early fall. Definitely only a shell jacket so you need at least two layers underneath. And here in Sweden, you need three ;)

      Repels Rain, Attracts Compliments

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Large
      • Height: 5'10"
      • Weight: 200lbs

I have great jackets for skiing, cycling, and camping, but I wanted a nicer-looking jacket for the office, travel, and around town. the Fjallraven Raven jacket fits that bill nicely. It fits over layers on colder days, or is fine alone on cool or wet days. it repels rain pretty well and dries quickly. The fit it trim in the torso, more generous in the shoulders and sleeves. The bi-swing shoulders are great, and keep the sleeves from riding up when driving or cycling.

      Great Jacket--order size down

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Size Bought: S
      • Height: 5'9"
      • Weight: 180lbs

I wear a 40r-42s in blazers (depending on the brand), a M in normal shirts and a L in "slim fitting" shirts. I'm 5'9", 180lbs. I ordered a Small, and it fits just right. I can fit my Patagonia Nano-Air (sized M) underneath it fine. I've worn it in the snow and light showers; the jacket has gotten wet and dries quickly. And it looks great. My wife is so pleased I'm not wearing something sporty-looking.

      Another Great Fjallraven Product

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Size Bought: M
      • Height: 5'9"
      • Weight: 150lbs

Fjallraven makes great products. The G-1000 material is awesome and super tough. I own two G-1000 shirts which I wear as jackets out in the field. I have taken the G-1000 material through Japanese Barberry, Multiflora Rose, Greenbriar, and rubbed up against countless trees while taking field measurements. They are still in perfect condition. This jacket will be no different as it is the same material.

I don't plan on using it out in the field though. It was pretty expensive but worth the money! I bought this in size medium but ended up returning for a small. I have a 39" chest and an 5'9" weighing in at 150lbs. The medium was actually a really nice fit if I wanted to layer under it. I tried it on with a flannel and a midlayer, which fit very nicely. I just decided to go with a jacket with a little less room. When the small is shipped to me I will probably be able to comfortably wear a flannel underneath or wear a midlayer and have a snug fit.

Comparing this jackets sizing with other products from fjallraven, I would say this is just slightly large.

      I love this jacket.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: Runs large
      • Size Bought: Small
      • Height: 5'6"
      • Weight: 152lbs

Unlike the other review, I ended up sizing down in this jacket. I'm 5'6", 155 lbs, athletic build and went with a Small. I'm usually a medium in all shirts and most jackets. This jacket fits slimmer than the Greenland jacket, especially in the sleeve/armpit area. The stashable hood is a nice added feature. It's substantial enough for light rain or whenever you'd need a hood, but tucks away nicely for a more casual look. I ended up using the wax that is designed for the G-1000 fabric. Applying the wax (I used a hairdryer) is somewhat of a pain, but once it's on the additional waterproofing is well worth it. The wax doesn't change the appearance or overall feel of the jacket, so don't freak out as you're applying it.
Overall, this will be my go-to casual fall jacket for day to day use.
