Durable performance that doesn't skimp on style.
Sweden-based Fjallraven has been producing durable outdoor goods since the early '60s. Through a passion for innovation and a healthy respect for the past, It has been able to produce some truly unique outdoor goods that are tough, high-performing, and stylish, and the Keb Men's Jacket is no exception. Made with Fjallraven's G-1000 fabric, this jacket is treated with a water-resistant Greenland wax, which can either be removed or reapplied as desired throughout the life of the jacket. The wax (sold separately) is applied by rubbing it into the fabric then heating the garment to allow the wax to absorb into the face of the fabric. To remove the wax, simply wash the jacket.
The jacket has two large chest pockets that are positioned to be easily accessed when wearing a backpack or climbing harness. The three-way adjustable storm hood is fitted with a wire brim for additional protection from rain. Two underarm ventilation zips let you lose heat quick when you're on the move through stormy conditions, while an internal chest pocket keeps your map, compass, or GPS out of the elements during your hiking or backpacking trips. The Keb jacket is designed to integrate with Fjallraven's Keb pants for a single rain-stopping suit that will fit comfortably with a heavy backpack or climbing harness.

This jacket has a nice trim fit, oversize hood and easily pack able. I like to wear it out around town as well as a nice fall hiking jacket.

Quality jacket. Made in China though
Good looking jacket. Very nice and fine details. Massive hood is a bit annoying when it kept scratching my ears while I was hiking. And this jacket not very good at blocking wind. But overall I like it.

Fashion Forward, but still performance
I really like the fit of this jacket, and the stretch of the material. The only thing I don't really understand about this jacket is the collar/hood. It rides up really high, and adds unnecessary bulk to the neck. I do love that this jacket truely is street to trail wear. I can throw this on for a date or work, with enough technical features to hit the trail afterwards. Pit zips are a plus!

How warm is this jacket? I am considering it for everyday use for the winter but am afraid it my be not warm enough.

Hi Ian, this jacket will certainly work for every day use. It offers a lot of variability: it is intended for alpine use in adverse conditions, and is breathable enough to be worn casually around town. I am considering this jacket for backcountry skiing. (1) is the jacket waterproof? (2) does it has a powder skirt? Does any of Fjallraven's has?

Hey Sebastian, the Keb would be an awesome touring jacket if you want something super breathable yet water resistant. If you are deep in powder, I'd probably recommend a solid ski jacket with a skirt, the G-1000 material will probably let too much moisture in extreme conditions you might find powder where you least want it!
