During winter, I wear this jacket more days than not. It gets a fair amount of compliments and I really enjoy the simple, timeless aesthetic and excellent quality. I am sure that this jacket will still look great in five years. As others have noted, it does run a bit big. I generally wear XL shirts and jackets, but the L here fits me well and has adequate sleeve length for my long arms. This jacket can be paired with a t-shirt down to the high 30's or so; anything below that and I add layers underneath, which the the still-generous fit easily allows. For reference, I am 6'3", 205 lbs with a 45 inch chest and a 36 inch waist. I have not waxed the jacket at all and I find the water resistance sufficient for mild rain and snow. All things considered, I'm very happy with this purchase and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Good jacket, not at the price

I wouldn't pay full price ($310) for this jacket. It's super warm, probably good to around 20 degrees. I like the style, the material and craftsmanship is pretty impressive. It also sacrifices weight for style so I wouldn't recommend this for anyone trying to do anything excessivelty active. It feels a bit bulky to me for that. The zipper though... It lets me zip up just fine but will.not.release. without some concentrated effort. This can be avoided by just using the buttons.

Great city jacket for the frigid temps. Very stylish, super comfortable and very warm. The two way zipper is nice for when you are getting in the car and have to drive somewhere and there's more pockets than you will ever need. I've got broad shoulders so I had to go with an XL and it fits really well.

I love this thing. Its a warm enough jacket to walk around in 20+ degrees weather and looks great doing it. Fjallraven nailed it on this jacket, they made a great looking jacket that you can wear everyday as well as in a more formal setting. The Microloft insulation is soft and warm keeping you comfortable all day long. It has plenty of pockets for anything you need to carry with you. The one issue I do have with this jacket is pretty minor, which is that the side hand pockets behind the front cargo pockets have a straight cut to them, so if you put a phone or other items in those pockets they can fall out pretty easily. 10/10 would recommend.

Great Jacket

It was love at first sight. The jacket looks very cool and durable, like something that you know is going to last a lot. Although it is kind of baggy and does not gives you a modern look, it is lightweight and pretty comfy. I have not used it in outdoor activities yet, and I think that this maybe will be too hot for trekking or walking with a bag in your back. However, I know for sure that this coat is going to be my favorite when commuting in the city in cold weather.

I got this as an everyday coat for days when the weather doesn't demand anything technical. Its well made, stylish and very comfortable/warm. I waxed mine and am really happy with the way it turned out. This jacket does run a little large to make room for layering, so either size down or roll with the larger fit.

If you need a mute-purpose jacket for the cold winter months, this is it! Surprisingly light weight for the warmth it provides & with a bit of wax, this baby is waterproof!

Unquestionably, this jacket is well worth the heavier price tag because you are making an investment in style, comfort, warmth, sophistication and utility. This jacket comes equipped with all the above. This jacket provides a perfect fit and additional peace of mind that you can survive whatever this winter's weather decides to throw at you.

It does run large. I ordered a medium and it fits perfectly with enough room for a light layer. Solid construction and hood kept out wind and rain. Love the roomy pockets and simple styling. Had a couple construction workers ask what brand this jacket was...lol Zipper was a little tricky until i got the hang of it. Be careful of side pockets, my keys and change slid out several times, so be sure to put keys into the pockets with snaps. love this jacket..great simple alternative to all the bright colored, multi-zipperd, overpriced status symbol jackets.

Got this for my husband. He is usually a Large in most shirts and jackets but when we got the jacket it was about a size too big. So we returned it and got a size smaller. That fit much better It is made of great material and looks really nice.
