Super dope hat. Warm and doesn't irritate my forehead at all. You can wear it in multiple fashions in a number of ways.

One of my favorite hats.

I've had this thing for at least a year now. While the hat may lose its shape through normal wear/care, it maintains its usefulness and visual appeal. It is more expensive than typical nylon/acrylic/polyester hats, but much, much warmer. I don't think I'll ever go back to cheap, pilling-laden beanies. I received the olive green color as a gift a year ago and still wear it regularly. I ended up buying one for each of my siblings. For anyone wondering, this hat can be worn unfolded (slouchy style) which is how I usually wear it.

Wool is scratchy on skin. Doesn’t feel comfy at all. Probably keeps warm but wouldn’t consider wearing at this quality level.

Wouldn’t use this if I got it for free

This beanie might work well as a hat in the city - but I bought it for trekking in wetter climates hoping it would keep me warm when wet like other wool pieces I have. In less than 4 days it had completely lost its shape, and when I followed the washing instructions on the tag (no dryer) it shrunk to a comically small size. I have other fjallraven pieces I love but this one is a complete bust.

I was skeptical opening this hat from the bag as it was super light weight. But it fit comfortably over my huge head, didn't leave marks on my head when I took it off. But the best part is its super warm for how light it is. The green is a great color.

The green color is beautiful... more of a spruce than an olive. Thin, as described, but still warm. Love it!

Stylish, Practical. Warm. Everything you want in a beanie.

My first Byron Thin Hat I got was second hand and I used it at work as an outsider bartender at a baseball stadium. I loved that the color was in uniform regulations, it was made of merino wool so it kept my head at the ideal temperature in cold and cool weather, and it also looked very flattering. I have a diamond shaped face and never found a beanie that looked good with my face, until this one. It packs small, odor resistant. I found it comfortable enough to use as a eye mask on long commutes. When my old hat accidentally made it into the dryer, I immediately shelled out the money to buy a dark gray one as a replacement. This is my fall-winter staple for outwear, and I can't recommend it enough.

Do not wash or dry

When I washed it and dried it in my German dryer it shrink it down to barely anything. When I could still wear it, it was amazing kept my head nice and warm while I was on the Alps.
