Made with boiled wool bonded to cotton twill fabric, the Guide is naturally water-repellent because wool will absorb as much as 30% of its own weight in moisture without becoming damp or clammy. As a result, it retains body warmth even when wet. In addition, its unique blend of fabric offers stellar warmth and comfort in cold, surly weather.
Filson gave the Guide a Seattle fit which means it has a tailored cut that allows room for mobility through the shoulders while also making the jacket sit comfortably closer to your body. This adds to the Guide's versatility—built for the outdoors but cut for the city. Underarm gussets ensure unrestricted movement while a rear pocket with flap and snap closure house your maps. Filson also loaded the Guide up with pockets such as a left angled chest pocket for your cell phone, a right patch pocket, two lower double-divider cargo pockets with two-finger snap closures, front-loading game pockets, and an internal left four-pen divided patch pocket to ensure plenty of space for your work essentials.
