Waist band is ridiculous

I've been wearing these pants for 5 months now and I really wanted to love them. I photograph destination weddings and I need a pair of pants that are cool in humid environments, and that can get wet and dry fast because I work on the beach and am in the water a lot taking photos. Also, a pair of pants that fits this description and doesn't have cargo pockets. But this waistband is made from a material that also slips down. It is too the point where I can't even wear these pants to leave the house for just a couple of hours. They are nice and light, and dry quick, but can not be worn without a belt which doesn't make sense for hiking pants.

Loved these pants

Finally a good looking travel pants for the tall and thin! Ordered the 32 Long for my 6’ 6” son. Light weight and fits great. Wish they made the ladies travel pants in women’s.

Look great in pictures

I bought these last month as I prepare for a summer backpacking trip in Western Europe. However, after trying them on I quickly repackaged and returned them. Though light and airy and likely fantastic for packing, these would not be a pant that I would be comfortable wearing as dress-casual for travel. They have a dumpy fit due to their paper thin fabric that looks great hanging up in a picture or laying flat on a surface, but look terrible when wearing. I'll continue my search elsewhere as it seems all their shirts and pants have a similar cut. I returned the shirt I tried as well, but I will say the boxer briefs are amazing. I gave this a three star because others might be fine with a baggy cut dress pant and the quality of the material and stitching were great.

Fantastic Travel Pants!

I love these pants! They are fantastic pants for travel because they are lightweight, amazingly stain resistant, and have hidden pockets on each side for passport and money. I never had to wear my money belt when I wore these. I now have 2 pairs of the shorts and 2 pairs of the long pants.

Nice but super long

I’m 6’2” and the pants are still dragging underneath my shoes. I typically think the pants are too short but these are starkly the opposite and too long. Make sure you’re 6’ 4” or taller if ordering these long versions.

So Cal nomads

I have worn 3 different versions of theses pants since 2009. Although the changes throughout the years have been somewhat downsizing in features category -the fabric used in these pants are still better then the rest of their competitors. Hopefully, they will make a compromise and bring back exterior pockets as well as the use of the thick strand of material rather then tread for the main button.

Poor Styling!

I used to love the Nomad pants. The ones with pockets, pleats, button at the bottom of the pants leg. Why did they mess with a great thing. The pants they now sell are ugly, no pockets etc, etc!!

Change for the worse

Agree with others, "Nomad" has been my go-to warm weather outdoor pant, but not now. "modern" sleeker fit, but who'd wear hiking pants for a night out?!? Much more constrictive legs/crotch, not good for hiking, climbing, yard work, etc. But, waist actually kidna big and not elastic anymore. Less study stitching, no more double waist buttons, etc.

Like these pants

I purchased these for an upcoming trip, these fit great and wash up nicely ( hang to dry per wife) Like the side pockets ( they are disguised when not using them) Super comfortable! Sized abit large maybe an inch. Ie. I usually purchase 35 waist. I initially purchased the 36. They were huge. Purchased the 34 and they were perfect.

Nomad nylon cargo pants

Many of the of the more recently introduced design features are not well thought out, for example, vertical zip pockets vs. horizontal, which are obvious when you go to open them and can tear fairly easily, and the elimination of a Velcro closure pocket which is, or was, perfect for credit cards. Belt loops are much narrower in the latest design, and this allows the waistband to roll. They don’t fit to size very well. Recommend better designed and cheaper similar products by Columbia and LL Bean.
