GA3 Grips
Riding in comfort and control is key to tackling technical trails, and Ergon lends a helping hand with the GA3 Grips. These light and comfortable grips offer a small winged shape so support your palm and keep your wrists in a more natural position, allowing you to maintain tactile feel, while working to reduce wrist fatigue. This works by offering a flatter surface for your palm to rest on, correcting your hand position to alleviate pressure on the carpel tunnel nerve, and reducing pain while riding. The GA3's are crafted from lightweight and supportive rubber that dampens vibrations from the trail, saving you energy and boosting comfort while you ride. They lock into place with a single, lightweight aluminum lock ring to ensure you ride with a secure grip from top to bottom.

Greatly reduces wrist fatigue in old guy
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Fit:
- True to size
- Size Bought
- Large
- Height
- 6` 1"
- Weight
- 225 lbs
I'm pushing 50 and thought that wrist discomfort was just a fact of life of mountain biking, but not so. These grips have reduced that old-guy ache by quite a bit, eliminating it on more leisurely rides. It forces you to position your hands correctly (for whatever type of riding you do the most.) I'm 6'1" and it took me a couple tries to adjust them to where I like them, but once they're set they're great. Nice and sticky material. The grips have survived one pretty good wreck so far, though not a direct hit to the end of the bar. The purple color looks pretty boss against my orange bike, to boot. Very happy with these grips.

Sizing issue
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit:
- Runs small
- Size Bought
- GA3
- Height
- 6` 1"
- Weight
- 170 lbs
I bought a pair of GA3's thinking they came in only one size, as the website says. When they arrived they were Smalls (GA3-S). I have large hands and want large grips (GA3-L). Why do they say there's only one size when obviously there are two? This to me is poor service.

Super comfy, but broke quickly
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I switched to these grips from similar Specialized ergo grips. These are super comfy grips and I'd recommend ergo-style grips to anyone, whether you hands get tired/numb on long rides or not. With that said, these grips are supported by a plastic ring on the inside of the grip at the ends, and this ring breaks easily. I smashed both sides of the grips in just two months of riding (one side from nicking a tree, and the other side from clipping the ground when I washed out).

I had the same issue - I like them but don’t hold up because of the end cap design. I am going to change to different grips as I need grips that hold up better.

Second set!
I really like shape of these as the fit my grip much better so I don't need to squeeze as hard as I did with my old ones. My friend had some Specialized that were also good.

Massive improvement
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I updated my grips on my old full-suspension and I noticed an increase in comfort immediately. I was getting cramps in my right hand from shifting and braking and these grips combined with a looser pair of gloves made the pain go away. I feel better control of the bike to boot. Probably the best bang-for-buck upgrade so far

There are some colors labeled small size and others labeled one size.....what’s Th e difference? Is there a medium? Or a large? Don’t see any other sizes or a chart

Per Ergon's website, the small is a new version for glove sizes 6.5 to 8.5, and there is a calculator on their website that will tell you which size is a better match for your hand if you don't know your glove size. If you have average/big hands, one size/large is probably the way to go.
