EDELRID Sendero II Harness
Our fully equipped, comfortable, lightweight all-round harness has received an extensive overhaul. The new features include a center fit construction that enables optimum harness adjustment thanks to sliding waist belt padding that can be centrally positioned. The larger gear loops with an optimized shape are easier than ever to handle and can be compressed to a compact size when storing the harness thanks to the soft material. We have also laminated the attachment points for ice screw carabiners and integrated them into the sit harness. The new positioning of the buckles on the leg loops makes both these and the strap ends easier to use and positions the buckles in an area that exposes them to less abrasion. The slightly larger central ring with an HMPE-kernmantle construction improves wear comfort. The SENDERO has a modern, stylish look and is part of our bluesign®-certified harness collection

I ordered this one in two sizes (small and medium) but neither seemed right. I love the sliding belt idea for centering everything up. The problem for me is that the belt cinch webbing enters into the harness too soon on the right side. If i center the gear loops and the belay loop, then the buckle butts up against the webbing tunnel where it enters the harness padding when i cinch it down. Even if I took it out of the first elastic belt loop, it wasn't enough. Also, I don't really like the gap between the front and rear gear loops. There's about an inch of space left between them for an ice screw clip and it makes it that much harder for me to see what's on my rear gear loops because of that gap. I do like how big the gear loops are though!

Size too large, gear loops plastic
- Size Bought:
- Medium
Really wanted to love this. But I’m a size 32 waist in everything, so Medium always fits me perfectly. Somehow the Sendero II medium is way too big on me, even if I pull the waist strap through the first belt loop to tighten even more than it’s supposed to, it’s somehow too big. Maybe it’s nice in winter with lots of layers but this harness isn’t for me. On top of that, the gear loops are all plastic! I’m all for shaving weight where possible but gear loops?! Come on, we don’t want that ripping somehow and dropping all our gear off. The plastic feels thin enough that I could rip it with my hands if I tried hard enough. Really disappointing harness, especially given how great the brand is overall.
