Why We Like The DOD Outdoors Kamaboko Super Tent
The DOD Kamaboko Super Tent is a spacious, multi-functional tunnel tent that's big enough to pitch smaller tents inside and tall enough for 6-footers to walk inside without ducking. This large, adaptable tent can be re-configured for different uses beyond simply sleeping and provide campers with multiple lounging, eating, and sleeping areas. It comes with a removable inner tent that's half the size of the outer tent, which we can attach to the ribs for a tent within a tent, and it's also compatible with range of accessories and additional sleeping areas (sold separately) to configure the Kamaboko in several ways. We like how this spacious, versatile super tent lets us get out the sun or rain and spread out for some comfortable camping. The tunnel shape reminded the DOD Outdoors designers of a cylindrical Japanese fishcake called the kamaboko—which is how this tent got its name.
