Why We Like The Deuter Updays 26 Backpack
Deuter's Updays 26 Backpack delivers plenty of packable space for our ski tours while keeping our weight to a minimum. The 26-liter capacity can carry our shed layers, snacks, and hydration while keeping our ski and safety gear easily accessible. That includes an easy-access bottom compartment for our skins or crampons, a reinforced safety compartment for our shovel and probe, an internal pocket for our hydration bladder, a key clip, a snack-sized or phone-sized hip belt pocket, and zippered front compartments that let us add and subtract layers as we head up and down the mountain. The pack is also PFAS free with a light but abrasion-resistant ripstop shell with external attachments, including a quick-fix ski attachment for diagonal ski carry, an integrated and removable helmet net, and ice axe attachment.
