A dream come true.
You've finally made it to the sculpted valleys of Norway, where the fjords are steep and glacial eradicates could be trolls. Ditch your suitcase in the hotel and bring the Dueter Futura 24L Backpack along for each day's adventure. It holds more than enough space for layers, guidebook, and packed lunch, and it comes with additional pockets for stuffing in snacks or a softshell jacket. Bring a trekking pole for the hikes that take you through jagged mountains, then attach it the bag when you've reached gentle fields and apple orchards. Pack your three liter reservoir into the hydration sleeve and you'll always have a refreshing sip of water close at hand. If classic European rains roll in you can toss the included rain cover over your bag to protect your gear, and a handy SOS label is included for helpful tips in case things get gnarly.
Deuter's thoughtful design shines through its durable construction and well ventilated back system. The shoulder straps and waist belt are ergonomically shaped for natural comfort, and padded with breathable mesh so you'll stay cool and dry even on the most rugged trails. The hip fins blend seamlessly into the back panel to reduce chafing and leave a breezeway between the pack and your back. With all your trekking and trail needs taken care of, you can focus on the thundering waterfalls, misty moors, and brightly painted houses.

Great Backpack, Great Fit/Breathability
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I was provided this product from Backcountry, but this review Is my personal opinion.
The Deuter Futura 24L is a great overall backpack due to its comfortability during longer day hikes and breath-ability with the ventilated back panel. I have taken this backpack to Rickets Glenn State Park in central PA and to the Adirondacks in NY. At Rickets Glenn, it was rainy and 30 degrees. Even with the rain cover off, the contents inside my backpack stayed relatively dry. I was able to fit a hat, gloves, two Nalgenes, food, extra base layer, and rain jacket in the 24L pack. The straps tighten to create a comfortable fit even with this much gear inside. In the Adirondacks there was a foot of snow at the top of the mountain. I paired this with my Arcteryx Beta LT and I never was too warm and had to strip off layers. The breathability of this backpack is really impressive.
My dad was using a standard North Face backpack, I swapped him for a little while and he was amazed by the Deuter Future 24L at how much cooler he stayed. With the North Face he was constantly taking off layers, while I was able to keep the Arcteryx on throughout my whole assent and descent of Mount Algonquin.
This is a one size fits all backpack and could comfortably be worn by any male. The durability of this backpack after two very rough hikes was impressive. It still looks fresh out of the packaging. The color and quality of the backpack is true to the description on Backcountry.
The only reason I gave a 4/5 stars was the waist straps were a bit uncomfortable. If i didn't strap them together they dug into the side of my hips.
Other than that, this is a great backpack and I would highly recommend!
