Trail 2650 Hiking Shoe
The Danner Trail 2650 Hiking Shoe owes its namesake to the Pacific Crest Trail, which measures 2650 miles in length, and this innovative trail trainer is built with just such demanding terrain in mind. Megagrip Vibram outsoles lock onto tricky turf both wet and dry, ready to tackle long mountain miles, while durable leather joins forces with lightweight textiles to give you hardwearing yet stylish uppers. Ultra-lightweight EVA in the midsole is cushioning yet supportive, with a reinforced heel counter to cradle your foot naturally through each step, and the three-layer footbed delivers breathable comfort when the day heats up. The Trail 2650 uses a trail running-inspired last, featuring an 8mm offset and wide forefoot for stability, and an aesthetic that's pleasing for trips into town after conquering a long backcountry expedition.

I love this pair of shoes, didn’t need to break in at all. As I am trying to look for alternatives to my boots on easier hikes, trying between different brands of hiking shoes, needing something of good grip and comfort. At first when i put these on, I was hesitant as i worried that the back heel wouldn’t be cushioned enough for hikes. But i decided to give it a try. I went on 2 hikes, both about 8 miles each on multiple terrains, didn’t slip, didn’t hurt my feet, felt super comfortable walking/hiking on them. Totally in love with these. I also love the color!

terrible blister on the heel
- Size Bought
- 7.5

While it is great for shorter hikes(6-7) miles, it gives me a terrible blister on the back of my heel every-time I do a longer hike..The shoes are comfortable, ventilates well. You socks could get pretty dusty with the ventilation holes on the side. Plenty of traction for all conditions. I use these for shorter hikes and use the mountain 600 for any longer hikes. Feels true to size. I really love them except for the blisters. 4 stars because I really like them and would buy another pair but just wont use them for any hike that is longer than 6,7 miles

Great lightweight shoe. A little narrow, so I am glad I ordered a 1/2 size up. Not for people with high arches.

Hey Kathleen, these are a normal width shoe so not particularly wide, but the manufacturer describes them as "slightly more width in the forefoot for stability and a good-looking, everyday-wearable aesthetic." If you have any other questions feel free to chat in or call a Gearhead.
