Danner. Swoon.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Got these a couple of days ago for Christmas from my husband who saw the Mountain 600 model on my wish list, but he knew I was being cheap and that I'd like these way better (and I was, and I do). I usually take an 8.5 and these in an 8.5 fit perfectly! They're still a touch stiff, but I can tell they're going to loosen up and be perfect. I do have a somewhat narrow foot and find these narrow enough that I can only wear a lightly padded Darn Tough sock (Style: Phat Witch) with them, so if you have wide feet, these may pinch a bit. But oh - I love them and can absolutely tell that I'll be wearing them a ton - especially with leggings... in the city and out on the trail. So cute. Truly. I'm deeply smitten.
FINALLY
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I've been wanting a pair of Danner boots for years now, but the price tag has always kept me from purchasing. Last month, I finally made the decision to pull the trigger on the black pair with red laces, and I'm OBSESSED. I'm normally a size 8, and the size 8 in these boots fit perfectly. My first weekend of wearing them, I hiked to Delicate Arch on Saturday and through some snow on a hike in the Wasatch on Sunday. They performed brilliantly in both types of extreme conditions, and had virtually no break-in period -- pure comfort straight out of the box. I'm seriously so impressed by these boots and I totally understand the hype now. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to get them!
Timeless Style
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Fits very true to size. Only took one day to break in. Gore-tex waterproofing is flawless. It rained the first day I wore them and my feet never got wet. Perfect for light day hikes and around town.
AMAZING

I really love these boots. I've wanted these for YEARS but could never bring myself to pay that much. TOTALLY WORTH the price. They are super comfortable. Very easy to lace up. I wear them casually and stay comfortable all throughout the day. I've also hiked in the snow in them and they were great! The goretex kept my feet totally dry and again, super comfortable throughout the hike. Traction is also good. Definitely not the best traction performance in a boot but I have another pair of more technical boots for when I need high performing traction. That being said, the traction is great for what I use them for. These are also a very good looking shoe. I get compliments almost everytime I wear these. I got the black with the red laces and I 10/10 recommend a Danner boot :)
