    When the work won't wait.

Danner's Bull Run Moc Toe Men's Boot is ready for the job site, but it looks good enough to wear out and about when the work is done. Wherever you are, the oiled nubuck leather upper serves up a smooth and polished look, while the Danner Dry waterproof lining keeps rain from soaking your socks while you get stuff done. The Bull Run comes complete with an ASTM-EH certified thick Danner Crafter wedge outsole, which protect you from electrical hazards. It has a molded PU midsole and EVA footbed for all-day comfort when you're getting dirty at the job site, supervising the building project, or enjoying your days off.

    Heel Smells Horrible

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 13
    • Height: 6'3"
    • Weight: 195lbs

These fit well and are nice high quality leather. Love the look and they feel like they are built to last a decade. I have cared for these bots like no others I’ve ever had, cleaning them regularly and dressing them with danner boot grease. Gritted my teeth through the brutal break in period. Can wear these all day now. Problem is the outside of the back of both heels has developed a strong sour, filthy laundry type smell. I’ve actually never smelled anything quite like it, it’s almost interesting in a way, like you go, wow that is a horrible smell, and keep smelling because you don’t believe it. My feet don’t stink, I know what stinky boots smell like and this isn’t that. Very strange. Can’t wear them anymore, don’t know what to do about it. Tough to even describe the smell, anyway I can’t recommend these, as you will be abandoned by humanity if you wear them due to the smell.

    Baller AF.

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs large

These run about a half size smaller than your typical size. I bought these boots for my boyfriend for Christmas and surely was not disappointed in the least when I picked them up. They are made with thick, beautiful leather, nice stitching and are an overall burly construction. They have a heavy feel to them, similar to some Frye boots. I anticipate they will last a long time if cared for properly. I give it a TEYYYY-N (that's a Varsity Blues reference)!!

    Break Them In

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Bought these for my Fiance for a birthday gift. I love the way they look and they also fit him perfectly. It just takes a couple of days of walking around in them before they break in. However, once they are broken in they are the perfect boot for cold/rainy weather and for working outside. He even wears them around sometimes when running around town without any issues.

    False and misleading description above

    • Fit: Runs small

"while the Danner Dry _waterproof lining_ keeps rain from soaking your socks"

My delivered Bull Run boots from backcountry are unlined, bare leather boots. I can go up and down Danner's Bull Run web web and there is never any mention about a lining or being waterproof.

Backcountry: Winter is knocking on the door and water proof boots is what I expected to receive from backcountry, according to your product description. You'd do a better service to your customers if you just simply cut and paste from the Danner page instead egregiously putting falsehoods up for customers to read.

    Fit like a glove...Once you break'em in

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had these boots for a little over three months now and they're great. At first they were really stiff and I would get major battle wounds from seemingly normal and evendors light use. So bad that I considered scrapping the dream.

While they are comfortable now they still have a major flaw. The soles do not have much tread and they are very slippery on snow, mud and wet grass. I'd say they are more of an indoors working boot.

Overall I would buy again even with the large break in period but I would prefer to have better tread on the soles.

Versatile as they are great looking

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These were gifted to my boyfriend who can't get enough of them. Here's what he thinks.
What can I say about these boots that hasn't already been said. They took about a week of breaking in before the leather became supple enough to have full movement of my ankle. I recently stepped in a smoldering sulfur pond in the snowy desert and after stripping the polish and some mink oil these bad boys look better than new. They are an everyday wear for me. I usually wear a 9.5 and I feel like I could have gotten away with a 9 is my only tip to future buyers.

    So fresh and so clean

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

This boot is rugged and tough. I love the waterproof liner that Danner uses. I was walking through some taller grass and didn't see a puddle, my toes and th bottome half of my laces went under water and my feet stayed dry. Not to mention these boots are stylish enough to take my wife out on the town.

    Stepping Out

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 9.5
    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 185lbs

So I will say it was hard to put my Chaco Peds out to pasture, but after five years it was time. And at first these were a bit stiff and took a little getting used too, but super pumped on these now. Looking to get a pair of the 8in Loggers next. Made in America and great quality that is expected from Danner. These look on point with some Levis and a t-shirt, or what ever your steeze is, I am old and that what I rock ha! So take my word for it and buy these American made steppin out babies. Also I wear a 10 and a 9.5 fits perfect so i would say size down by .5 and your golden.

    Great Casual Boots

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I really like the way these Danner boots feel. They really fit well and go well for many occasions. The break in period is a little lengthy as it took several weeks for the boots to wear in.

    Great Boots, Not Safety Toe

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 12
    • Height: 6'
    • Weight: 185lbs

If you are buying these boots because they are safety toe or to use for work, be advised... the ASTM rating is for Soft-toe boots and does not qualify as a "safety toe" for industrial environments. Of course, the boots are great, Danner fit and finish is first quality and Backcountry's return policy is just a awesome.
