Stamp 7 Competitive Cyclist Exclusive Edition Pedals

Some riders swear by clipless, but when it comes to gravity-oriented riding we think flats are where it's at. Flats offer versatility, comfort, and play when you're boosting off of rollers, and hammering through banked berms, and the Stamp 7 Competitive Cyclist Exclusive Edition Pedals do so with incredible grip, and a sleek limited-series oil slick colorway.

  • 6061-T6 aluminum for rugged durability on the trail
  • Upgraded igus LL-glide bearings for a smoother spindle feel

Great Feel / Beautiful Color

I've put in about 250 miles with these pedals on trails ranging from light neighborhood trails to super techy and I'm still loving them. I have size 12.5 shoes, so the larger size of these pedals feels amazing. The only negative I would say is that if you aren't used to larger pedals, you might have to get used to the size at first - i.e. you'll probably pedal strike often while you are getting used to the size.

I've purchased 2 pairs of these pedals unfortunately. They were stiff out of the box and, instead of loosening up over time, have become increasingly stiff. I sent them back to CrankBrothers and they told me they had "vapor locked". No idea what that means relative to a set of pedals. They "repaired" them and sent them back to me but they were super stiff right out of the box and have become unusably stiff again. I'm sending them back again but I'm also having to buy some other pedals because these just aren't durable enough. For the record I weigh 135 pounds and have spent years riding other flats with no problems. These just struggle.

Squeak Squeak Squeak

I’ve purchased 4 sets of CB Stamp 7s and every single one after about 30 rides begin making a creaking noise. First time I spent money at the local shop trying to locate the incredibly annoying squeak on my full suspension mtb. Finally, the Stamp 7s were found to be the issue. Crank brothers sent me a rebuilt pedal, same issue. Then they sent me a new set, same problem after about 30 rides. Frankly, I’d pay twice the money for a different brand to not deal with this. To all reading this, if you have a squeak that sounds like it’s somewhere else on the Np bike and your running crank brothers. 99% it’s the pedals.

i have to say, i really appreciate this review. thanks! these are NOT cheap!

XX1 AXS Matching pedals

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Everything you like about the normal Stamp 7 pedals, but in an oil slick colorway that matches SRAM's oilslick chains and cassettes really well. Even if you dont have those bits to match, the pedals really provide a lot of pop in color to the bike. I've attached a pic, and i'd say the pedals are more vibrant in person than in that picture used on this page. I've been riding these pedals for about 3 months now and have had no issues whatsoever
