The Adv Essence Lumen Wind Vest puts a wind-protective, water-repellent fabric across the front where a rider takes the brunt of the weather, and an elastic mesh across the back where body heat needs to escape. A brushed fleece inner collar keeps the fabric from chafing against bare skin on a cold morning, and reflective panels at the front and sides add visibility without needing a separate layer. The vest packs into its own back pocket, so it rides along in a jersey pocket until the weather actually calls for it.
