Good, but keys destroy the mesh pockets.
I like these. One problem is that my keys rip holes in the mesh pockets, so I have to have them replaced with solid-fabric pockets.

Convertible pants
I have worn Columbia Silver Ridge convertible pants for many years. Always liked them. Wish they had some stretchable material especially in the crotch area.

I tried to like these.
I really wanted to like these pants. I had purchased a used pair and very quickly the stitching on the back pockets fell apart. Not knowing how the previous owner had treated them I purchased a new pair figuring they had been improved or my used pair had been abuse. The stitching on the new pair hasn't lasted a year and I have rarely worn them. Having things (like your wallet) fall out of the pockets is unacceptable. Also the hook and loop closures on the pockets is insufficient, worthless. I like the fabric but that's about it.

Great pants
My husband bought these as an everyday wear and he loves them! Very comfy and light. True to size.

Beware - stuff will fall out of the pockets
Stuff falls out of the pockets way too easily. I believe this is for two reasons. First, the pockets are short inside - not very deep like other pants. And second, these pants run small and tight, so when you sit in your car or your kayak, the pocket tends to open. Both seem to be indications of cheapness. I'm not going to buy another pair.

Good pants but rear pockets could be more durable
I bought a set of these pants and have been pretty happy with them - they are lightweight, and work well. My one concern is that the rear pockets (where I tend to keep my wallet) have started to become detached from the fabric on the pants - essentially it seems like the thread that is used to sew the mesh pocket to the pants breaks or wears through.

Great for outdoors
Very light weight and very comfortable. Feels like you are wearing shorts even when pants are attached

Best Lightweight Outdoor Pants
These lightweight outdoor pants are enormously comfortable. Warm in cool weather, cool in warm weather. More stylish than the photos reveal. The material is mildew resistant in case you need to hand-wash and hang dry. Pockets secured by zippers or Velcro. Convertible to shorts. Mesh pockets. These high-tech pants are well worth the money. If you get stuck traveling or in temporary quarters with no laundry and don't drive, these pants are useful. Hand wash and hang dry. Hang near a window with sun or place in front of a small sun lamp to inhibit mildew. Get a shirt made of modal or a 70% modal polyester blend and you have the best anti-mildew combination available. Highly recommended.

Excellent Pants
Bought these to replace my old pair of trekking pants that are close to 20 yrs old. I trust Columbia’s quality. They fit great. I’m a medium tall and the 32/34 are perfect. Super construction and design. My only bugaboo is the color. Purchased “charcoal” as a good neutral color. The pants have a definite green hue. Not like any charcoal I’ve used. Makes the neutral color decidedly in-neutral. Otherwise, fantastic purchase.

Consistent Quality!
I based my size needed for this order on a previous pair that I purchased last year, which also was based on an order two years before that. The new pair of hiking pants fit like a glove! PERFECT!
