The Columbia Girls' Powderbug Forty Boot brings the toasty embrace of the fireplace with you out into the snow with its furnace-like 400g insulation, which is rated at -40F (hence the name). Secure your fit with the customizable drawcord and adjustable hook-and-loop strap before heading off into the snowy playland. The waterproof synthetic leather and nylon textile upper, combined with a seam-taped construction, delivers protection from the elements during any cold-weather adventure. If you happen to notice a funky odor emanating from these boots, take out the 6mm recycled felt liner and toss it in the wash for a quick refresher. Whether shoveling the walk or heading out with the sled, the one-piece, injection-molded TPR shell provides stable footing over slick, unpredictable surfaces.

Liners have poor quality sewing
Boots have been minimally used, and likely liner craftsmanship was like this prior to being worn. Unfortunately, the liner does not fall under warranty!! Both boots we purchased had this poor quality of sewing, recommend you pull liners out and check!

The best winter boots for kids
My kids have owned a pair of these every year!! They are the best winter boots for all the winter weather. We live in new England so it gets cold, wet, freezing etc and my kids never complain their feet are cold, wet, freezing or uncomfortable.

Feet stayed dry and warm
These are great boots and the sizing is correct. You need to be careful that you push the felt liner down a little before tightening the top of the boot. This will assure that snow cannot get in and little feet will stay dry. The reviewers who complained about wet feet probably failed to do this. We also noticed that they are easier to put on if the felt liner goes on first, then the outer boot.

Get a couple sizes up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are some very nice boots. Grandson has wide foot and wears a 12.5 in tennis shoes, but I ordered him a 2 and they fit nice.

Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has the smaller size for last winter and my kids love it. It’s warm up their toes for MN winter and not heavy like some other brand.

Greatest boots ever!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a pair of Columbia boots that I have probably had for 20 years (you don't need them very often). They are beginning to wear, so I decided to get another pair. These boots have warm inserts and I can't wait for a cold snowy day to try them out. However, they require you to sit down to put them on and take them off. My old Columbia boots just slipped on and had a Velcro closure.
