Best wet-snow jacket I've Had

I'm an East-Coaster and that means I ski in damp weather with wet snow. This jacket is great for such conditions when layered over warmth-providing garments (my preference is always for a non-insulated shell over warm layers as required). Love this jacket. This jacket (with layers) fits me a little snug.

This jacket is great! The material on the outside has a rubbery feel to it and the inside has a nice fabric to help keep you warm. This jackets will keep you dry during the really wet seasons of the year. I got a small and it fits great. It is pretty true to size and isn't too baggy. I love how the material will stretch while you are wearing it. You definetally don't feel restricted when you have this jacket on. Highly recomend getting this jacket if you are going to be in harsh conditions or even light ones.

I wore this jacket for two days in mild weather with the occasional light sprinkle. It definitely kept me dry, though most rain jackets would for the weather I was in. The fabric was quite breathable. This is definitely a shell piece, you'll need additional insulation if you wear it in cold weather. I have and athletic build (41.5" chest, 31.5" waist) and usually sit between Medium and Large for shirts and jackets. The large in this Jacket was pretty loose. If you're like me and not sure whether to go with Medium or Large , I'd go with a Large if you plan to layer fairly heavily underneath, otherwise a Medium would be your best bet.

The real test of a rainy Northwest fall and winter are looming near, but so far the jacket is exactly what I was looking for. Looks good, fits right, comfortable, the sleeves and body are a good length, and i appreciate that it's not a very noisy jacket to wear. I'm 6'2 and the Large is pretty spot on. I hope more people give the Outdry Stretch jackets a try so that Columbia keeps updating the series.

Awesome review, thanks David!!
