We trust the Columbia Newton Ridge Plus WP Amped Wide Hiking Boot to help us get after our hiking bucket list once winter gives way to spring. Built with sturdy leather uppers, the Newton comes accented with rubber and mesh for extra durability and ventilation, as well as a fully waterproof membrane to keep us dry on saturated spring trails. Great product for a reasonable price.

The size is true to fit and the wide width lives up to its name. My orevious experience with Columbia rings true with these shoes as well - great products for a reasonable price!

Love love looooove

I couldn’t pass up on their sale and I’m so glad I decided to purchase them. I can’t wait to go hiking, and am already planning future hiking trips!

Awesome Hiking Boots, Highly Recommend

I actually wore them to hike Machu Picchu in Peru for a 4 day trek over 15,000 elevation and they were wonderful. My feet stayed dry, but not too warm. Even when it rained my inner boot was dry. Highly recommend these boots for hiking!

Great reliable and comfortable boot
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these boots over 3 years ago and have over 300 miles on them. They are now starting to let me know it’s time for a New pair. These have been my most sturdy, most comfortable and reliable hiking boots I have ever had. I have 4 diff hiking boot brands from ASICS, Salmon and KEENs and I choose my Columbias every time when I am doing a more challenging hike esp when I need ankle stability and support. You will not go wrong with these boots, from a beginner to more of an experienced hiker. Plus when they said they’re waterproof they are! Without being too hot even when wearing hiking socks! I would know living in the Pacific Northwest ( PCW). You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

Best Boots ever!

They are true to size, very comfortable, supportive, very waterproof and breathable! I have multiple foot issues and these here boots have helped me a lot! I highly recommend these for anyone and plan to buy a couple more pairs when the opportunity arises!

The most comfortable and functional boots ever
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't usually write reviews, but these are the boots I have been looking for my whole life, and they deserve some applause. I have rain and snow boots, but they are not comfortable for walking. I have athletic shoes, but they are not good for the muddy, messy hiking I tend to do. I have some really cute water resistant booties but they have absolutely no support. I have tried all manner of shoes and boots over the years, and usually have to size up because even their "wide" sizes do not accommodate my wide and thick potato-feet comfortably. I'm so used to sizing up that I really questioned the wisdom of buying my actual size for these boots, especially when I saw them right out of the box. However, to my delight, my feet fit in these things perfectly. Even without any breaking in they are very comfortable. They have great foot and ankle support, and a good grippy tread. They are adjustable enough to accommodate thick boot socks or the occasional episode of swollen feet. They also keep my toes warm, which is something even snow boots have failed to do. No more numb toes in the winter! These look and feel like they will last a decade, so I will have to be satisfied with recommending them to others since I can't afford to buy them in every color.

Best Boots for Everything!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hands down my favorite boots. For work, for hiking, for shopping, for everything. So comfortable I find myself grabbing them over my running shoes. Waterproof, great in mud and warm. If there is a downside, it would be lacing them up and unlacing them can be a pain, but I’m soon to find a way to make the process easier as I would prefer to wear these boots over most shoes I own. The wide sizing is great and fits my block feet wonderfully :D 10/10 WOULD recommend.

NOT WATERPROOF
This pair of hiking boots was bought for a trip to Scotland. Very cute, comfortable, fit well, wide width was exactly what i needed. Boot accomodated orthotic insert quite well. That being said, they were not waterproof AT ALL for me. Scotland was experiencing some above average rain, and on the day of my hike it took less than an hour for the rain to soak completely into my boots and leave my feet sloshing around in the water inside of the boot. Had to go back to hotel and change into my running shoes and I ended up having some variation of wet feet all week. The boots did not dry out for the rest of my trip, and came home with me still damp about 3 days later.

The perfect hiking shoe
I bought these online for a hiking trip to Colorado. I was very leary to purchase without having tried them on. I’m very particular about my shoes because I’ve had a history of plantar fascia injuries in my foot. I’m extremely happy and super excited to have purchased these! They fit true to size and were so comfortable. Excellent support and amazing comfort. I definitely recommend these hiking boots!
