Why We Like The Skydome Screen Room Tent
Our favorite location for sipping morning coffee is the screen room on our home's front porch. Unfortunately we can't take our porch with us camping, but we can carry along with Coleman's Skydome Screen Room Tent. The Skydome features a multi-use screen room that triples as a lounge setting, gear storage, or an extra sleeping spot, meaning we can adjust the tent to how we want. And the Skydome only takes 5 minutes to set up, so we can quickly pitch our site, grab a chair, plop down, and enjoy the weekend's camp location.

So many flaws
SO very disappointed in Coleman for the first time. As a lifelong camper of 50 years, this tent was so lacking that I returned it after set up at home - grateful that I checked it out before taking it out! The front access fly & screen only open for half! Very awkward for in & out for me & my gear & I'm a pretty tiny girl @ 115#. My 200#+ partner never would've navigated this. The large rear window has no covering! Even with the rainfly attached, moisture came in, as did sun & heat. A rainstorm would leave one flooded. How in the world would Coleman give such a nice, large window (looked like it took up at least 75-80% of the rear tent surface) with no shade?!? No more Coleman for me.

Nice tent but not really for big or tall persons
First of all, I am 6ft 2inches and mid to upper 50's and have done hard manually labor for employment most my adult life. So, my joints and back have some miles on them. I found the entrance was too short 4ft 6in I believe. I had to get down on my hands and knees to get in and out of the tent. In the sleeping area the was enough room for my Coleman Tritech Air Mattress Queen 22” mattress. But there was less then 2ft or less room left over on one side and had to leave the inner door open to be able to get in and out of bed. The screen area is only big enough for storage not big enough to put a chair in and sit there. I will admit with most the windows covered up with the rainfly it was a little stuffy in there. So if your close to 6ft or more or don't like to get down on your hands and knees and crawl in or out of the tent would not recommend it. But for kids or shorter persons it would be a good tent for them. As far as putting it up even doing it myself was really easy and had no problems.

Great tent for the money.
Great tent for car/campground camping (or strong hikers). Roomy inside w/ vertical walls. Screen porch with zip rain doors provide a "tent and a half". Dark room feature allows sleeping in and early bedtime, if desired.

Not a 4 person tent
Not tall enough at all for 2 people I can’t imagine 4 people, you will Literally have to climb over each other just to get in

Worst Tent and Customer Experience
Poor ventilation, there were holes in the rain fly and seams upon first setup, not weatherproofed at all - woke up to puddles of water and water dripping down the sides making my gear damp and the measurements of the tent don’t add up. This was my son’s first introduction into camping and this tent made it a horrible one. I’ve been trying to return this tent to the company for over two weeks now, but no one is responding or following up with me. Unfortunately it seems the Coleman brand has gone down hill from what I remembered it was….

Pretty much perfect
Exactly what I wanted at a great price. Roomy, easy to set up, and dark and cool as the sun rose.

Pretty good tent
- Familiarity:

I just got to test this tent this weekend on a typical cold, rainy Pennsylvania day. The tent kept me dry through a day and night of rain. I awoke in the morning to to a nice dusting of snow, and the tent handled it all just fine. I purchased it because I wanted a tent with a screened in porch area. There is just enough room to sit on the porch on a regular camp chair. Two people would be a little tight but it would be doable. I didn’t try it with the covers zipped down on the screens to see how much rain got in, but I didn’t notice a bunch of rain running in between the screens and the covers. I didn’t care for the way the poles are attached to the tent permanently. I think it’s a goofy idea that makes it very difficult to prepare the tent for compact transport and storage. Plus, I can’t just hang the tent up to dry very well. Lastly, the fly lays against the screens on the sides and back of the tent, so in the summer? No breeze and no ventilation. Again, goofy. I will apply adhesive cloth repair parches to reinforce the fly in those areas and use clips and guy lines to pull the fly out. Overall, I think I will like this tent for summer camping.

Good but not all weather.
Mostly love it. I like to sleep in and this definitely keeps dark. Haven’t had a chance to try it in the rain. Resistant against wind for sure. Keeps heat in if you have a heater. Fits my inflatable queen with about a foot to spare and put in a side table. The porch is the best addition I looked for when I was in the market. Love the porch. Currently on a camping trip in truck haven and the wind PLUS sand is not a good combo for this tent. This tent is not sand storm resistant. SO much sand in it. It would be convenient if there were additional zipper-able seals to keep out dust and in this case sand.

Not for cold weather
We camped out in Yosemite last night. This tent is not made for cold weather camping . Rain fly goes over a screen tent . Ice cold air coming in between the screen style tent a d the rain cover. Wish I had my brought my original Coleman tent. Will have to buy another one.

Great value tent
Three nights of rain and no leaks, and able to camp near a security light in campground and still need a flashlight or lantern to see in the tent, awesome!
