Quality Coleman, loved cooking outdoors, crowd fav

Our group had three different stoves on our last camping trip but this was by far the crowd favorite. Love that is is sized to accommodate most kitchen pots and pans.

Almost perfect

The lid is the only "complaint". It latches closed with a push button, which is nice. But if the lid reforms at all over the years, being thinner sheet metal it definitely will, it won't function right. Ie popping open when using carring handle or not closing.

Gets the job done - shoddy build

Fine if all you want is to heat stuff up fast, otherwise, not so good. Quality of build is shoddy - the latch doesn't hold it shut, the igniter is unreliable (sometimes works, sometimes doesn't), and the flame adjustment is a combination of squishy (as in you adjust it down and it springs back to a higher setting) and too high. The label fell off one of the knobs on mine right out of the box. Coleman, who did this to you? You used to be such a great brand.

Wow! You wouldn't believe it! (stand out enough?)

Wish Coleman still had the guide series stoves. Every stove since then is "good enough I guess".

I like the size but, lacks precise flame control.

I like the size of this stove and three burners which is why I bought it. The stamped metal case is a bit flimsy, not the the quality of a Coleman stove of the past. The most disappointing flaw is the adjustability of the flame. The knobs do not stay at the setting - they rebound. Very hard to adjust a low flame without the fame extinguishing.

Too big

Too big - I bought this to span a cadt iron griddle. It was too wide for my needs.

Works great, but ...

Bought this for outdoor cooking. Lifelong Coleman fan, this is a great stove (love the button-push lighting). Only two issues: 1) It is difficult to keep a lower flame setting, the controls are VERY touchy. 2) Bought the 1 lb to 20 lb adapter hose to hook up to my 20 lb propane tank, but no gas comes to the burners that way. Works great with the little 1 lb bottles. From reading other reviews it looks like I need an additional adapter to make the 20 lb adapter work.

You can't cook with it but it sure can boil water.

Looks good, feels good, sets up good, options all good...but...It's a dud. Like almost everyone else the burners on mine have only two settings: 1) Volcano - low setting 2) Sun - high setting That's it. No matter what the burners will not turn down to a normal cooking temperature. I though with use that it would "wear in" and become more adjustable but it never did. It's like brand new as it's only been used 10 or 12 times, just to boil water, and now it sits on the shelf in my garage. I would throw it out but I'm keeping it only as a backup for emergencies where the power goes out and there's a boil water advisory...because THAT is the one thing it does very well. I bought a cheap onsale Woods propane stove and while it looks only half as goods it has worked three times as well as this Coleman Eventemp 3 burner one. I'd recommend it to no-one except people who want hike it's weight into the back-country to boil water (and then leave it there). It's a dud.

like the wider space but poor low heat control

We camp most of the summer and use our stove a lot. Like the wider space of the 3-burner, but here is no low heat control. Second, our ignitor doesn't work any more but it appears you can't get replacement parts (search eventemp stove replacement parts on this site and see what you get). Our old 2-burner stove works great at low temps and is still going, purchased in 1992... this stove purchased 6 years ago not so much.
