Why We Like The Z/Cloud Sandal

The rugged durability and adventure-worthy performance we expect from Chaco are now available with an added dose of comfort in the Men's Z/Cloud Sandal. It has the same tough, fully adjustable webbing straps and burly ChacoGrip outsole as our old favorites, but with the benefit of a cushier footbed that offers a softer feel and enhanced comfort without sacrificing performance. The footbed is also anti-odor to resist odor when we're wearing this sandal every day (which we surely will).

  • Polyester jacquard webbing upper with ladder lock buckle
  • Adjustable high-tensile webbing heel risers
  • Luvseat PU midsole cushions and supports each step
  • Anti-odor footbed for a fresh post-play feeling
  • Non-marking ChacoGrip rubber sole offers security on slippery surfaces

Fit for more than BBQs

These shoes are fantastic. Comfortable enough to hike, play frisbee, canoe, fish, whatever. So great! Wish I had tried them sooner.

The fit was so uncomfortable. And when I went to try to exchange I didn’t had the option.

Sticking with Chaco

I had my first pair of Tevas around 1990. I knew no one else that had ever seen or wore them. Over the years Teva has failed to maintain quality. I got my first pair of Chacos about 8 years ago and they still work for me. They are a bit heavy, but work for me almost everywhere. I decided to get another pair and they are going on a cycling tour of central Europe with me next week.

Love my Z/Cloud sandals. I've been wearing Z/1 sandals for 26 years and the Clouds are just a little more cushioned which now makes them my favorite sandals!

Fade Green

The colors attracted me to this sandal, the Fade Green. I love Chacos. Haven’t disappointed me yet.

Ok sandals that I don’t love

Little nitpicks add up to me not loving these. I’ve been a long-time Chaco wearer, but I’m not as satisfied as I should be for the price and Chaco’s reputation. First, the Chaco brand sole is not as good as the older Vibram soles. It wears out quickly, and seems like you’re skimping on quality. The cloud foodbed wears much faster than the regular footbed, but will still outlast the sole anyway. In the past, usually the sole came unglued at the front anyway. For me, the continuous strap loosens up on me, especially in water, but then is difficult to tighten. For my feet, I’m realizing that the arch is too high and rolls my feet outward, but that’s just personal fit. These things are notoriously heavy, like the weight of boots. Having small feet for men’s feet the size hick footbed and wide straps aren’t very proportionate—I’ve considered that the women’s model may be better for me., .
