Lowdown Sandal
The Lowdown is a slimmed down Chaco that can still hold its own on the trail. The midsole might be thinner, but it still gives better rebound and less compression for a trail-ready performance. Chaco updated the straps with anti-odor technology for odor control, and it has similar adjustments to the original Chaco for a snug fit. ChacoGrip gives the same technical traction and stable platform you'd expect from Chaco.

Best Sandals you can ever wear.
Extremely comfortable sandal, solid construction. One of the best pair I have ever owned. Five stars!

I was hoping for different
Not quite what I was hoping for, but still did the job. The straps are had the get the right fit and when I did, the loose end was inches too long and dragged along the ground. Not ideal. That and the tread was not as grippy as I would have thought, rather slippery TBH. But they were on sale and now I understand why. It’s hard to know all of this when trying them on. It’s only when they get wet and you’re trying to get to and from the beach that you realize what’s up

Love them
I read a lot of reviews on these and had a lot of worries about them based on the reviews concerning the rear strap. However I work at a department store that sells chacos and they had these sandals in a color that isn't available online and I get a good discount so I decided to get them just to see. I absolutely love them. Great arch support and they're so comfortable. I have no problems AT ALL with any of the straps. The heel strap stays put and secure. Maybe they improved the design? Idk. But I absolutely love them so I can't not recommend them!

High arch
Arch too high. You are ignoring your customers from the late 90s to early 2000s when arches were normal height

I love them, but Chaco engineers: fix the buckle!
From reading reviews on these, I know they aren't for everybody, but I love them so much I bought another pair after I ran the first ones into the ground. They're lightweight, super comfy and I've hiked and walked a thousand miles in them. Yeah, you do have walk in a particular, toes-raised way that Birkenstocks also require, but if you're used to that, these are even better. I only use the backstrap in rigorous conditions -- otherwise I just walk on the strap under my heel, which I don't even notice. The backstrap buckle does require frequent readjustment, but maybe Chaco can fix / figure that out. I hope they don't get discontinued.

Lighter than originals
I like then because they're lighter than my 10+ year old pair I'm replacing. They don't have the Vibram sole, but we're considerably cheaper. Time will tell how they hold up.

Barebones effectiveness and nostalgia
Barebones Chaco with a thinner, lighter-weigh sole that reminds me of my first pair 25 yrs ago. Interesting and effective actively adjustable fit snugs right up. I still have a heavier and strapped pair for more rugged applications but love these for knocking around shirt of a bike or a wet wade fishing.

Poor design
As you walk the rear strap loosens so that your foot moves back until it’s hanging off the sandal. Consider another style of you plan to walk farther than the end of your driveway. The single continuous strap is poor design. The sandals seem to be otherwise well made and I suspect would be comfortable if not for this design flaw, so don’t let the review of this product influence other styles of Chacos you may be looking at.
