Lowdown Sandal
The Lowdown is a slimmed down Chaco that can still hold its own on the trail. The midsole might be thinner, but it still gives better rebound and less compression for a trail-ready performance. Chaco updated the straps with anti-odor technology for odor control, and it has similar adjustments to the original Chaco for a snug fit. ChacoGrip gives the same technical traction and stable platform you'd expect from Chaco.

Idea > Reality
Thing I like: sandals are incredibly light weight. primary disappointment: neither the heel strap or foot straps “lock” in place, so either everything is too loose, or everything is too tight. I might do this manually with some stitches to set the heel strap.

Chaco’s won’t stay sinched up.
I’ve owned at least 6 pairs of Chaco’s over the last 15 years. My experience has been that Chaco’s are rugged, well designed, durable and extremely functional. My recent on-line purchase that does not live up to these attributes. There’s a design flaw in that, I literally can’t walk 50 yards without them become unsinched. I’ve stopped wearing them due to this aggravation. And, since both the left and right Chaco won’t stay sinched, it’s a design flaw. I also convinced that, as prominent of an issue that this is, many other customers are providing the same feedback. Now, the question is, how will Chaco respond to this issue? What’s on the line here is years of established confidence in the Chaco name brand especially when it comes to on-line purchases. This kind of apparent flaw would quickly be discerned by outfitters who sell your products off their shelves and they would provide feedback, especially to the regular customers, like “don’t buy those, they won’t stay sinched”.

Not the same product as before.
Had my first pair of chaos for almost 10 years. Wore them almost every day. Can’t imagine these will last more than 2 years. Definitely not as sturdy. They honestly feel cheaply made.

Not very durable
Not very durable. I wore them for a few days and the glue holding the straps to the side is starting to come apart. Also the clamp that you use to tighten dug into the fabric of the strap causing it to pull out. Now there are loops that get caught in the strap and does not allow for easy tightening/loosening of the strap.

Sandals & arthritic feet
I have arthritis in both big toes and Morton's neuroma. I don't need any pain meds with these sandals.
