I've put it through the wringer

I took a 2 week trip to new Zealand recently and bought these boots beforehand. I wanted boots that were stylish, but good for light hiking and rain since I would be trekking through the forests and on the beaches of NZ. These held up way better than expected, considering all that I did in them. They got extremely muddy, wet, and dirty many times on the trip, and I was constantly putting them on/off. They look almost brand new. The one thing I would advise is that they have really high arch support. I've never experienced this in boots to this degree, but I became a fan. Who knew I needed arch support. Would give these a 9/10 because they gave me blisters the first few time I wore them. After I broke them in they were extremely comfy though. Would rec!

Did Not Work for Me

I returned. They were incredibly uncomfortable on my heels. Didn't even make the walk across the living room floor without my heels hurting. I was SO disappointed. Chacos have always fit me perfectly right out of the box.

Great Boot!

I love the way they look and feel. Very comfortable. Would buy again.

Noisy shoes

These shoes seemed to fit OK, but they made so much noise when I walked around my house that I had to return them.

Love, But

Love these boots. BUT, its the first time ever a Chaco shoe has rubbed a blister on my heel. I have 11 plus pairs of Chaco's shoes and sandals. No other pair has done this. I still love these boots. But i will try to adjust so i can keep wearing. Had to take one star off because of the blister.

Great boots!

Love the lace up boots! Super comfy and can be dressed up or down. Very versitile!

Second pair of these awesome boots!

These are my second pair of these boots, well the updates model anyway. My previous pair are still in good condition after 5 years of heavy wear. My feet are so happy in these boots! The new waterproof version are even more comfortable with the stretchy fabric that allows the ankle to move with ease. I like the matte finish of the leather on these and the way they don’t scuff up as quickly. As a plantar fasciitis battler, these boots (and all Chacos) give my feet relief that no other shoe can provide!

Nearly The Perfect Boot

This is a good-looking, sturdy boot that's good for everyday. The outer sole has good grip in wet conditions. The only complaint I have is that it is slightly too small. My heel is squished against the back. The rest of the fit is very comfortable. The arch support footbed is terrific for those who need an ergonomic, supportive fit.

Comfort and support

I love these boots. They're comfortable, easy to break in, stylish, and offer ankle protection, however they are water RESISTANT, not waterproof as advertised. I walked through wet grass for about 45 minutes, I did not step in puddles or submerge my boot and about 20 minutes in, water was seeping in everytime i stept and the shoes bent. The tongue was not wet, it was definitely come in through the top of my shoe at the bend in my toes. Aside from that, they're awesome.

They make the worst noise

I've never had such a loud and annoying sounding boot. Any hard surface you walk on and they make a LOUD squeaky noise that sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Really disappointed
