Toddler Girls' Brown Sandals & Water Shoes

Water shoes with enclosed or semi-enclosed designs give more toe protection and are best for rocky or debris-filled beaches, while hybrid water sandals offer open, breathable straps for easy on-and-off during casual splashing. Both types handle wet conditions and most have non-slip soles, so pick the style that matches how active your toddler will be.

A snug fit with adjustable closures like Velcro straps helps prevent rubbing and keeps the shoe from slipping off during play. Models with easy Velcro adjustment—such as Reef's Little Water Vista—let caregivers tailor the fit quickly without sacrificing support.

Closed water shoes with toe protection are the better choice for rocky shorelines and debris-filled environments because they shield little toes from sharp objects. Look for durable, water-friendly materials and non-slip soles to reduce the chance of slipping on wet rocks.

Some toddler water shoes and sandals use UPF 50+ rated materials to help protect developing skin during extended outdoor water play. Reima and similar brands emphasize lightweight, quick-drying fabrics with sun protection built in so kids stay comfortable and shielded.

Materials like soft EVA foam and quick-drying synthetics are common in toddler water footwear, so most pairs dry faster than regular sneakers. The lightweight construction found in styles from brands like Carter's and Reef helps them shed water and get ready for the next outing.
