Girls' Orange Ski Jackets

Consider the child's age and typical conditions: insulated jackets with 100–200g of fill are best for younger kids (ages 2–8) who need warmth for all-day slope play, teen jackets (ages 9–13) favor streamlined cuts for greater mobility, and convertible jackets with removable liners work well for milder or shoulder-season use.

A jacket with a 10,000mm (or higher) waterproof rating and fully seam-sealed construction will keep wet snow and slush out while still letting moisture escape. Columbia girls' ski jackets are often cited for that kind of waterproof-breathable performance.

For toddlers in 4T sizes, lightweight but substantial insulation in the 100–200g range balances warmth without adding bulk, and synthetic or down fills both work depending on wet-snow exposure. GEMYSE models are a good example of jackets that combine high warmth with kid-friendly patterns.

Look for abrasion-resistant outer fabrics, reinforced cuffs and hems, and fully seam-sealed construction to resist tears and keep snow out during active play. Extra reinforcement around pockets and a powder skirt also help the jacket last through repeated use.

When sizing a teen jacket, allow room for a base layer but avoid excess bulk—choose a teen-specific size (9–13) with adjustable cuffs, hems, and hoods to dial in fit as they grow. Obermeyer teen jackets, for example, offer distinct 9–13 sizing and cuts designed to preserve mobility on the slopes.
