Great looking jacket and perfect for autumn, but touting this as a "4 Extreme Warmth" strength coat for cold winter is highly misleading. For example, outside tonight it is 36 degrees -- I have a t-shirt and hoodie beneath and I'm still cold and it's not that cold. For "look" and as a fall jacket, it's certainly a 5-star coat. Has a nice durable shell, perfect for pitching hay bales for feeding and such, good for snow and some rain. If you're working in extreme cold, with layering, maybe it warms up significantly then. But if you're looking for something toasty for moderate cold and below, without having to add multiple upon multiple layers beneath, go for a Nuptse jacket which is easily 50% warmer...and literally with just a t-shirt beneath. Otherwise this is a great jacket for milder autumn cold.

A gift for my dad wasn't too sure if it'll fit him but it did perfectly the bottom was wide but your able to make it tighter which was amazing. he said it was very warm and he's sure it'll be great for the colds

More baggy than loose fit

The jacket is great!!! It truly is beyond warm and comfy. The only reason why I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is because it is more of a baggy fit than a loose fit. I'm 6'4" with a 36" waist, shoulders and sleeves are great, they fit perfectly. It's just extremely baggy round the mid section. I understand it is loose fit, but I have about 5 inches of extra material around my midsection that can be removed and still it would be a loose fit (7 inches if I wanted it to be fitted). That's how much "loose" fit it is. Aside from this, the jacket is great!

Warm and looks great

Good jacket.

Good jacket. Warm and light weight. Lots of movement and really good hood/collar. Could use a few improvements. Needs a better zipper and flap over the zipper with snaps top and bottom. Also needs a heavier inner cuff at the wrists, similar to other carhartt coats I have. Couple other minor improvements would be to the Large front lower pockets. They could use a better fleece lining and on both sides of the pocket. I would also prefer an interior zippered chest pocket to the open lower pocket the jacket has. I can't think of a time I'd use it. Other wise great jacket. You should consider making a vest version of this jacket!
