What happened to desert tan?
I've had several pairs of these. I wish they would make them in the desert tan again

An Excellent Value
These fit my slender self very well and are an ideal weight most of the year (dead of winter excepted!). I like the numerous pockets. My only complaint is that the item only comes in two colors. I'd like to see classic navy and brown options.

Tears on the my cheeks
I would love to give a 4 or 5 star rating because Carhartt4Life but these pants are defective. They tear on the seam of the butt. I work in the overseas outside in 115-120 degree weather and the ripstop material is great but the stitching on the back side isn't very strong. Not sure why this hasn't been addressed. I have to reorder every 3 months.

Good Britches
Things I really like about these pants: 1 - The waist button is a metal rivet and not some cheezy sewn-on button; 2 - The front pockets are very accessible and easy to put my hands in; 3 - The back pocket is on the OUTSIDE of the pants and not a little bag that is always crumpled up and in the way when putting on your pants; 4 - The stitching appears to be outstanding, but time will bear truth to that so I will see; 5 - I am not a fan of cotton anything so the cotton-polyester blend is a good compromise for me. Cotton holds moisture(sweat) which is not comfortable in any way; Now for the bad, sort of - the horizontal seam across the knee initially bugged me but I think I am getting used to it so this may not be an issue as I get more comfortable with these pants. Bottom line: I have purchased a second pair so that should tell you something. However, I will know more in a few months or so. On last thing: I had a brand of pants that I was fond of but when Santa brought me a n

Ripped
Bought two pairs and they barely made it to 3 months before ripping around crotch area. They were nicely fitted pants to work in summer conditions just sadly not durable for hard work.

Good but could use some simple improvements.
Overall I like these pants. The material and fit are great for me, and the cargo pockets are good. These are among the few brands that have quality work pants in a 30" waist. I'd give a higher rating if they had more belt loops spaced closer together, and if the front pockets were deeper.

Now better but size down!
This particular pant has been redesigned and is made in Mexico rather than China. The pockets are different and better. The size is also slightly different, larger for the both waist and inseam. I had to reduce by 1 inch and still slightly big.

Pants are light weight and not durable
Purchased the pants because they were Carhartt and needed a lighter option than the normal heavy duty Canvas paint. Was very impressed at how they fit and quickly dried while working, the sweat evaporated almost as fast as it was created. Then came the door ability. The fabric above the seem above the knee began to wear out very quickly. Returned the two pair to Carhart, they replaced them with new pairs, the second pair wore out even faster and not just above the knee, but every place. The material wore thin in a matter of two months. I'm severely disappointed because it has the name on it and I expected more That wouldn't wear out in two months. I'll return these hoping they may improve the design. I may have to choose a different brand name.

Sizes run small
It took 3 orders/returns to get a wearable size. Normally I'm a 34 waist, these 35's just barely fit. I wasn't willing to return and wait for another order.

Defective Zipper
Love these pants wore two pairs last season. This season ordered 3 pairs, 2 out of the 3 were perfect. The third one, had to exchange due to defective zipper. Not sure what happened but was surprised, have not seen that before in pants.
