Thrive in the park.
A perennial favorite park board for the Capita team, the Indoor Survival FK Snowboard destroys jumps, jibs, and rails with authority, but is also just as happy railing turns on groomers and spinning off side hits. With its versatile flex and fun, forgiving feel, the Indoor Survival is the perfect board for the rider who likes to take their freestyle skills to the entire mountain.
The Freestyle FK profile is flat from insert to insert for stability and edge hold, and slightly rockered at the tip and tail for a forgiving feel when you're tricking off jumps and linking lines in the rail park. Blunt tip and tail shapes give it better swing weight, not to mention an eye-catching look. Special Blend biax glass provides a smooth, consistent flex, and it's bonded with a new plant-based Magic Bean resin that's less harmful to the environment.
Four lightweight titanal struts just outside the inserts increase the board's strength while enhancing response. The sustainably-harvested poplar core offers a smooth flex and lightweight feel, and beech strips prevent board breakage when you're gapping onto rails. The board is finished off with an extruded base that's almost as hard as a sintered base, making it impact-resistant, yet still easy to repair.

CAPITA HAS EXTREME QUALITY PROBLEMS
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
I ordered a CAPiTA Indoor Survival to ride this weekend. When it arrived I noticed that the top of the board was not even. It almost looks like they sanded the nose of the board down a little bit. To me this wasn't a big deal. THEN, I go to put bindings on the board... The tail end binding threads were completely screwed. I could not put any screws in for my rear binding. These screws worked just fine on the front of the board but would not thread into the back bindings holes. After taking a closer look I realized that on some of the thread holes there is literally steel caked onto the inside of them. It looks like they tapped the holes and then someone dropped molten steel onto the threads. I literally cannot believe that CAPiTA would not catch this in quality control. 10/10 would not recommend.
A swiss-army knife
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
The Indoor Survival is one of Capitas most versatile boards that is loved by a wide range of riders. Its raised contact points and mild rocker make this board so easy to turn that the beginner and intermediate riders find this board very forgiving and natural to ride. The reverse camber in the nose also helps this board float in an all mountain environment, while the zero camber story gives you a skate like feel for hitting the streets or park. If you are looking to save some dough and experience every inch of the mountain the 2017 Indoor Survival is the board for you.
