Light and unobtrusive

Have used this several times for leading sport routes, and it is so light that I almost forget that I have it on. The helmet is also very well ventilated which s very critical here in Las Vegas where the temperatures while climbing often exceed 100 degrees. The chin tightening strap could stand to be a tad bit longer so it is easier for me to grip and cinch down (I have a high forehead so when I loosen it to put it on it opens up all the way to the end of the strap limiter, making it tough to grip) That said, it was about time I replaced my 30 year old helmet, which was not much more than a glorified construction site hard-hat. Very good value for the money.

Thanks for the awesome review Will!

It was almost perfect

I really do love this helmet and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight helmet for their climbing adventures. The adjustable dial makes the fit feel solid and comfortable. However, during a night climb as I came to a squeeze chimney off-width section and my helmet was rubbing all over the big boy crack it would knock my headlamp out of the tabs that hold the headlamp strap in place and into my face, which was a bit frustrating. The headband slips into the securing tabs from the bottom which is fine and holds the headlamp fine, that is until you have to fit your head and helmet through a tight squeeze. With that said I love this helmet for all my climbing except at night.

Love it!

I've used it several times

Very light, 240-250 grams for large, exactly what I was looking for. Like the style and how it fits and adjusts. I have the lime yellow-green, good high visibility color. All in all, I love it! CAMP delivers again in the ultralight climbing department.

Lightweight protection and comfort

I've put it through the wringer

This is by far my favorite climbing helmet I have ever owned. I have used it on rock and ice and it has performed well for me in all conditions. the amazing amount of venting keeps this helmet comfortable even on warmer days with a lot of physical exertion not to mention it is so lightweight I often seem to forget it is on. The advantages to Foam over the old hardshell climbing helmets makes this helmet my go to for all my climbing needs.

I bought a size small and it fit my head great which is hard to find since I have a small head. I really like the round adjuster in the back as well. It felt like I got a really secure fit that probably wouldn't budge. I found though that the left hand chin buckle not only was awkward since I'm right handed, but it was difficult to open which I could see being a concern with cold hands or gloves. If this had a right hand buckle, I'd definitely consider keeping it, but returned it instead.

Light is Right!

I've used it several times

Using recently for ice climbing in Chamonix area for first time, really like the weight and fit of this helmet, couldn't even tel it was on. The strap is very comfortable and fully adjustable. I have the white color and it's very streamlined, sleek look compared to some of the other bulky / weird looking helmets out there. There is an adjustment turn knob on the back of the helmet to get the right fit, i had two layers of hoodies on and was able to fit under no problem, then easily switch to just light skull cap. Headlamp attachments work like a charm too, just slide underneath.

Is it even on my head?

I've put it through the wringer

I love this helmet, and it's so light sometimes I forget it's even on my head. Fit: I normally wear a small or medium and the Small size in this helmet fits my head great. I can wear a hat underneath or a man-bun and still feel comfortable. Style: It definitely doesn't look like a turtle is on my head. Some helmets look so goofy on me but this one seems to have a sleek enough design to be stylish. Functionality: So breathable, haven't had to use the impact foam but I'm glad it's there. The headlamp clips are easy to use and hold it still! I would recommend this helmet as the one and done - use it for climbing or skiing or both!
