Fish Snowboard

Looking for a downsized deep-day rocket for blasting through bowls and darting through trees? The Burton Fish Snowboard is your solution to surf-slashing powder on the deepest days of the year, combining effortless float with smooth-turning agility through tight trees and chutes. Its substantial set-back stance (2-inches at reference mounts), swallowtail design, and radical tapering (30-millimeters) keep the board's nose afloat without burning up your back leg on those chest-deep days.

The Fish's surf-influenced design adds a bit more girth to the waist, classifying it as a mid-wide board. As with fish-shaped surf boards, the Fish's increased surface area allows you to use a shorter board (approximately 3-5cm shorter) than what you'd normally ride in deep, untracked conditions. This maintains the float of longer pow boards, but without their lumbering, truck-like turning radius that keeps you from turning on a dime.

Instead of the S-Rocker found on earlier versions of the Fish, there's a Directional Flat Top profile that's predominately flat underfoot, with a huge, surf-inspired nose that kicks-up early with a nice dose of rocker. The result is a board that's stable, carves well on groomers (when you're seeking pow stashes), and nearly unsinkable in the deepest, untracked snow.

Inside this pow-specialist, the FSC Certified Super Fly II core keeps things extremely lightweight and responsive. Triax fiberglass is combined with a Carbon I-Beam for enhanced snap and response, especially when you're banking between trees and charging open bowls. Throw in Burton's lightning-fast sintered WFO base for the ultimate pow-surfer that carries speed across flats without bogging down in deep snow.
