How To Size Kids’ Ski Boots (With Printable Measuring Chart)

Parent-Friendly Guide With Size Chart

Published December 22nd, 2025

Sizing kids’ ski boots shouldn’t feel like decoding an ancient language—and yet, with growing feet, seasonal gear changes, and confusing size conversions, it often does. The right fit matters, though. A good ski boot is the bridge between a great day on the mountain and a meltdown in the lodge.

If you’re shopping for your kiddo, you’ve probably already discovered the charm of adjustable boots like Roces, which expand multiple sizes and help you stretch a season (or two) out of one pair. But regardless of the model you end up with, starting with the right boot size makes all the difference.

To take out the guesswork, we built a printable kids’ ski boot size chart—the kind you can place right on the floor, have your child stand on, and instantly see their correct size in Mondopoint (ski boots’ centimeter-based sizing). Think of it like a tiny at-home ski shop fitting, minus the boot heater and distracting candy bribes.

Let’s walk through exactly how to use it.

How To Use Our Ski Boot Size Chart

This quick guide walks you through printing, verifying, and using the chart so you get an accurate measurement the first time around. It’s simple, it’s reliable, and it’s parent-and-kids-in-snow-pants approved.

Print The Chart

Click the link below to download the printable version. You’ll want to print it on standard letter-size printer paper (8.5" x 11").

Here’s the only thing that really matters:  Print at 100% scale.

No “Fit to Page,” no “Scale to Printable Area,” no “Shrink.” Printers love to sneak those settings in, but they’ll throw off your measurements.

There are also measuring instructions located conveniently on the printable chart itself.

Find The Right Size

Confirm Proper Printing With Credit Card

This part is delightfully simple. On the printed page, you’ll see a small rectangle labeled for scale checking. The instructions on the chart say:

“Place a credit card here to ensure the scale is correct. Card should fit inside the lines without any margin of error.”

Place a standard credit card (or gift card, library card, etc.) onto that box.

  • If it fits perfectly → you’re golden.
  • If it doesn’t → reprint with scaling set to 100%.

This tiny check makes the whole measurement process foolproof.

Measure Your Kiddo’s Foot

This is the fun part—well, depending on your kid’s wiggle factor.

Here’s how to measure:

  1. Fold the corner
Follow the dashed line on the chart to fold up the lower right corner on the line. This lets your child nestle their heel right where it needs to go.
  2. Place the chart against a wall
Tape the chart to the floor with the folded heel section flush against a wall—this makes sure your starting point is exact.
  3. Have your child stand on the chart
Barefoot or with a thin sock (thick socks can throw things off).
    • Heels should just touch the wall, not push into it.
    • Weight should be evenly balanced.
  4. Check the longest toe
Feet aren’t symmetrical. Measure both feet, then use the larger measurement. The line just beyond the tip of your child’s longest toe, but does not touch, is your size.
  5. Write it down
Seriously. Someone will forget. Write it down right on the chart.

Now you know your kid’s Mondopoint size in centimeters—what ski boots actually use. No confusing conversions needed.
