    One Buff, six million uses.

The beauty of the UV Half Buff is its simplicity. Half the size of a regular Buff, it fits perfectly under hats and helmets, around ears and hair, or even around wrists. No matter how you wear it, it blocks 95% of UV radiation, wicks moisture, dries quickly, and, thanks to a Polygiene odor-resistant treatment, won't even get stinky.

Hair and sweat off your face

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These will keep your hair and sweat away while running, hiking, training. Super fresh and comfortable. Will also protect you from UV. I've had at least 5 of these and none of them have ever had odor problems.

The only thing I don't like a lot is that the fabric ages pretty fast.

    Love the size

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I actually prefer a half buff over a full buff. It's great as a hair band, face protector, and even as a strainer for purified water. I have a few of these and cycle through as the colors match my outfits!

New add on to the uniform!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

First attempt with the half buff, I have at least 10 full sized ones but admit I needed them to stay in place better as headbands and less fabric in the summer. My undercut(? half my head is shaved) makes it hard to keep my ponytail up on it's own anymore and I'm pretty reliant on these guys when I'm working out.

This print is perfect and matches our race kit to boot! Love it! (bottom right in photo) @DownshiftWTF <3 #radicalencouragement

New add on to the uniform!

    Great sun protection.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I burn easy and this has been a great solution to keeping me from returning home with a bright red neck, also living in the PNW it is used to keep rain out

    about to buy another one

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I really underestimated how much i would wear this, but I love the half size buff so much I'm about to buy another color. It is such a great headband for keeping all your hair back while climbing, hiking, or whatever. It also fits nicely under a helmet. Since it's super thin it dries out fast which is awesome for hot sweaty days on the trail.

    kiss cotton goodbye forever

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I now own several different types of Buffs (I've become a total merino wool fanatic in general recently). They are absolutely worth every penny you pay and do everything as advertised. And when I wear the half buff as a headband or under my climbing helmet, it never slips. EVER. No other headband has ever achieved such a feat for me.

    Cold weather staple

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The half size is nice and efficient, saving you grief if you're the type of person who unzips and re-zips their jacket on rides. Without the excess of material there's not as much to get snagged in zippers or get odd bunches under the collar.

    half size is perfect

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This thing is so indispensable that I now own several. It's a godsend for warm weather backpacking, but also makes a nice head warmer on cool nights when a beanie would be overkill. Dollar for dollar it's one of the best purchases I've ever made.

Should've gotten a half size long ago

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've had a full size Buff for nearly 10 years and decided to try out a half size. Love it with less material, especially when its warmer and I need to hide my hair.

    Just a touch too short

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 135lbs

The colors are great, its light weight, and it makes a great headband. Although, if you're looking for something to really protect your neck on the river this isn't it. Naturally, it has half as much bulk as a full-size buff which is great for the warmer weather, not so great for coverage. Maybe I'm being too Goldilocks here, but a 3/4 buff would be just right.

    Always great

As a runner, I love all of my Buffs for keeping the sweat off my face in the summer and covering my mouth/face in the freezing Michigan winters. This half-Buff in "Bubbles" print is colorful and cool.

What are the dimensions of the buff when laid flat, please? Is this stretchy enough to be worn as a top?
    Thank you!

Hey Mary! So the dimensions of this Half-Buff is about 9inch x 9 inches. So it really can't be worn as a top, no! I mean, if you are about 9 inches maybe, but its really made just to go around your neck, or wear on your head. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions, contact details above.

How does the buff uv half buff attach? Is there a way to tie it on? This just hangs down the back of the neck, right?
    Thanks

I'm not sure why you'd need to tie it. The Buff is a continuous loop of fabric. You pull it over your head and wear it like a headband or necklace (or like any of the other 50,000 ways Buff says you can use it).
