Phantom Glide by DPS Skis is a long-lasting, high-performance base treatment for skis and snowboards. There are two ways to get it. You can put it on yourself at home with a kit, or you can add Phantom Glide: Professional Application Before Shipment when you buy new skis or a new snowboard. Backcountry technicians apply it with a DPS UV Cure Station before the order ships, so expect your order to ship within a week. New DPS skis already come with Phantom Glide, so this service is offered on other brands' skis and snowboards.
Doing it at home starts with a clean base. The Single Base Clean Kit is a spray-on cleaner that removes dirt, skin glue and other contaminants, which sets up a better application. The Single Application Kit holds one application, enough for one pair of skis or one snowboard. The At Home Kit puts it in one box with a Base Cleaner and the Base Care Kit. The steps are simple: clean the base, apply the treatment in the shade, let it cure outside in direct sunlight for an hour, then polish the base. Follow the kit instructions for the temperature and UV level it needs to cure.
