    Size up!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 10
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 145lbs

Size up, especially if you're curvy! All the pants in my closet that I wear on a daily basis are size 4 or 6 (I'm usually 4 in mall brands, 6 in more "athletic" brands). These pants fit best in a 10. The legs/butt are relatively tight still, while being loose in the waist, but not anywhere near as bad as most pants for me. I think the gusseted crotch prevents them from pulling way down in back when I move. These seem great for day-to-day wear, but I wouldn't climb in them except if I forgot to pack any other pants - they just aren't stretchy enough to allow for enough movement.

    I really like these pants

I listened to the reviews and got a 4. I have a 26.5" waist, and usually wear a 26 in jeans. love the pockets, high waist, close fit that stays and does not get baggy. for the sale price the gray was a good deal

    They run small

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: size 2
    • Height: 5'2"
    • Weight: 115lbs

I'm a size 25 in most jeans. I measured myself and thought id be well within the "size 2" zone but these pants are way too tight to do any type of activity in. DO yourself a favor and listen to these reviews and get the next size up.

    Short inseam and not stretchy

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

    • Size Bought: 6
    • Height: 5'6"

Really wish to love these pants. They're of a chic cut and interesting color (I got the green ones). However, they got to be the least stretchy or climbing-friendly climbing pants ever. For comparison, I have a size 6 pair of prana meme pants, which I grab for outdoor climbing every single time. These pants of the same size, in comparison, never get any use, because I can't move in them. Just sitting down in them is uncomfortable after a couple hours.

    Two Words.

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 2
    • Height: 5'3"
    • Weight: 110lbs

    Super Impressed.

Reader's Digest: The fabric not only comfortable, but also durable and that 2% of spandex lends more stretch than you'd think. The gusseted crotch is awesome and the rise, well, it actually covers my bum. Think like, comparable to a high-rise but without the whole suctioned-onto-your-stomach fit. The gusseted crotch is super cool and isn't too long, or too short for that matter.

Non-Reader's Digest: I'm super wary of women's pants, and not in a bad way, simply in a "there's a 70% chance these won't actually fit all that well." I'm on the shorter side, with a runner's body, and no hips to speak of so finding a pair of pants that fit comfortably is like finding a needle in a haystack, though I'd venture to say that most women experience pant shopping fairly similarly.

So, when a friend recommended the Stretch Font pants, I was like "cool, yeah okay, but like, what's the #1 selling feature for you?" And she was like "they actually fit, oh and they have a gusseted crotch that doesn't look funny or isn't too small." Which, as you can imagine was enough for me to pick up a pair.

That being said Black Diamond stuff has had a funky fit for me in the past, and usually runs more true-to-size in terms of its XS fit, but unfortunately the company doesn't make anything smaller than a size 2 (please make a size 0 BD, we do exist!). So, size 2 it was. The 2 fits a little relaxed, which I figured it would be. For fit reference, I wear a 24 in Patagonia cords, 25 in the denim, a 24 in Madewell / Jcrew and an XS in Arc'teryx. The relaxed-fit is mostly in the knees and slightly in the waist, but nothing too alarming. This pant is meant for mobility, so I don't think I'd want anything to fit more trim per se. The leg construction is sort of like a skinny-jean-straight-leg hybrid. I do have to up-cuff them, but ain't no thang. All in all, these pants are awesome. Oh, also, the adriatic blue - the perf color. Grey sorta makes me feel like I'm wearing oompa loompa pants... so wish BD came out with a oxblood red or even a port-y purple. Woof.
