Fantastic big duffel, good on Airlines.
I really like the Stonehauler bags because they're tough and the padding gives them a bit more shape than a typical floppy duffel from similar brands. I've been packing this (empty) into my suitcase on the way to Europe. Then on the return trip when I'm loaded down with gifts and I don't need as much stuff in my carry on, I can check an additional bag. Despite the measurements making me worry the size might be too big, it's is fine for airlines and I've never gotten even a second glance. I don't think they really care about duffels because they're easier to deal with than hard suitcases. With a bag this big, I do have to be careful not to go overweight. For bulky stuff like helmets, boots, clothes, it's no problem. But if you're loading it with climbing ropes, tools, bottles of olive oil, wheels of cheese, it's going to get overweight. The internal straps are good.

120L Stonehauler is a great bag
I had the 45L, which quickly filled up, and upgraded to the 120L. Really well built and easy to carry with the backpack strap. The internal straps are great for keeping structure.

Tough Duffel that is great as checked luggage
Recently used this for a nine day climbing and camping road trip. It ate up my gear and held up perfectly as fully loaded and heavy checked luggage. The slight padding made me feel better about stuffing it with climbing gear (actually, just shoved my entire climbing pack (Stone Hauler 45) inside). Burly handles all around make picking it up easy. The two internal and two external pockets were great, too. Highly recommend.

Pack straps are too high.
Pack straps are too high. Even as a 6’ tall person, when carrying the pack on my back, it is hard to walk because the bottom of the bag sits too low and bangs against my legs. The straps should be lower so the top of the bag sits higher on your back. Makes carrying the bag difficult. Also, the 120L does not have a built in shoe bag like the 90L

Better than the rest…
The 120L’s are super comfortable to carry when fully loaded. The should straps have great adjustability, and are quickly removable for flight time. Internal compression kept ice tools and all the gear in one place. Two of these will cover you from home to basecamp and back! Mules, trucks, dirt, water, sun, wind, they can take it all. Also, the 30L Pro is the perfect carry on companion for the sensitive gear! Highly recommend and super happy with the quality. When sitting next to the competition of TNF, Patagonia. and Rab, the others just don’t pack the comfort, durability, and features that the Stonehaulers do. They also have a cooler vibe. Rule number one: always look cool.

Tough and roomy - What more do you need?
I was pleasantly surprised by the construction of the Stonehauler 120 Duffel. I purchased it to use it as an expedition-grade bag to protect my gear on international trips. Based on similar but slightly smaller bags I purchased from competitors, I expect this bag to exceed their performance. It has a heavy-duty skin that is built to take rough handling. It will get the real test cinched to a mule on a trail in the Andes Mountains in a couple of months, but it checks all the boxes for me: Tough, roomy enough to fit my 105-liter pack along with bulky, cold weather gear, inside zip pockets, shoulder straps, and an outer zipper that will accept a luggage lock.

Great for traveling with gear
We bought this bag to check our gear on an overseas trip. To be honest, if you fill this with climbing gear or similar items the bag will be overweight but it still did the job and will be perfect for hauling gear around on trips in country
