Durability issues but still a great headlamp

I have never found a better headlamp but it won't take an endless beating and isnt waterproof. It will hold up against water better than most headlamps but it will fail eventually. Love the compact size plus battery life.

Great little light

These headlamps are convenient for a variety of uses. I have several that I use for hunting and early morning fishing. I bought this one for my wife to use and she loves it.

Lot Light in a Little Package

Easy to operate. Comfortable. Bright. Lightweight. That's about all I could ask from a headlamp and the Spot delivered on all counts.

A great lamp!

I love this little headlamp. I have another BD headlamp that was 350lumens I think, and probably 50% larger as well. This thing is just so small and low profile. The lock function is brilliant. And the separate button to engage the red light? Also brilliant. So nice not having to tap, tap, tap your way to different functions. The only thing I would love to see is a slight extension of the part of the lamp that sits on your forehead, something for you to just rest a fingertip on so that tilting the lamp is easier. As it is now, it's a little bit clumsy trying to change the angle of the lamp. Great product. I'll probably be buying a few more just to have.

Inexpensive, lightweight and bright

I bought two of these to keep in my cars in case of an emergency. However, they are light, bright and fully functioned. I may use this as my new backpacking headlamp instead. I especially like that they include the red light function.

Excellent Headlamp

I have not used this heavily in the field yet, but I will. I have been using it mostly for reading in bed while my spouse sleeps. Overall, I am pleased with the product. I have been an exclusively Petzl headlamp user for 20+ years. This was my first purchase of a BD headlamp (though I have been using BD climbing pro for 25+ years). I like the features and the hold to dim. This is not rechargeable but that can be an advantage in many scenarios. It's light and I will continue to use it as lighter weight primary headlamp when in the field. Easily switches to red light.

Light of my hike

Easy to use headlamp. No more fiddling with button patterns to find the red light nightmode. I pack my Spot Lite with me on every backpacking excursion. This headlamp is small, durable, and has exceptional battery life. Great product.

Best bang for the $$$

This light is awesome. Its light weight and the 200 lumens will surprise you. This is great for dark runs. Light weight so it virtually doesn't move. Its also small enough to put in a pocket and only uses two AAA. Battery life is okay.

Perfect head light

I think we are now up to owning five of these Spot Lite 200's for our family of four and planning to order four more soon. These offer plenty of light for trail hiking and backcountry camping. The red light probably gets the most use in camp and around the house for tasks such as checking on our young boys in bed late at night or reading in bed without disturbing my wife. This is one of those items that you'll want to have within reach in your backpack, car, kitchen, bedroom, garage, etc. It makes simple tasks that much easier. The lights pair perfectly with Pale Blue Earth rechargeable AAA batteries.
