Great tech piece!!
Runs a little big, would not call it trim fit or athletic fit at all, but everything else about it is incredible!!

Thoughtful design results in a great ski shell
I recently went from a more traditional ski jacket to this shell and have no regrets. The BD Dry material is great and works as advertised. It is lightweight and breathable, but it doesn't have that "crunchy" feel that comes with many waterproof shells. The design is well thought out, with the less flexible shell portion and the more soft shell style strategically placed to both maximize weather protection and mobility. Additional details, like the removable powder skirt, internal mesh pockets and vents that are easy to zip open or closed, show that the designer paid attention to detail. Finally, I love the fit and look, and isn't how you look on the aki slipe half the battle... All in all this is a great ski shell and worth the cost.

Doesn't Hold Up
Had the Jacket for less than 6 months with a handful of times skiing. Already Has small tear on coat. My other Ski jackets have held up longer

Runs large. I'm a 40R jacket, usually a medium but the small fit better. Beefier jacket than all the other 3L 20k ones i tried. Would like deeper inside pockets, but the rest of them are well placed and right sized

Durable and functional
This is a heavy shell made to withstand daily use. It has just enough features for my needs and provides sufficient wind and water protection, too.

Fantastic jacket!
I tried out jackets from REI, Trew, Helly Hansen and Patagonia and this was far and away my favorite. I've skied it in deep powder in Utah as well as wet & rainy days at Palisades, CA and it held up and kept me dry. The material itself allows for great range of motion and has all the features (double-breasted pocket, powder skirt, adjustable wrists and pass pocket) necessary for a reliable shell. I'm 5'9" and 170 lbs and the M fits great with a base and mid-layer. Highly recommend.
