Large armpits, runs very large

Familiarity:: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Fit:: Runs large
Size Bought: Medium
Height: 5` 10"
Weight: 150 lbs

I usually wear a medium. This shirt was more like a large or extra large. Also the armpits are extra baggy, I’m confused what they are supposed to accommodate.
