- Q & A
Lace is Ace
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Not as much stretch to the synthetic tops but boy what a shoe! cracks are great, smearing is a tad skeptical but i'm willing to try again! for being a moderate style shoe it's versatile. I'd recommend this to any beginning climbers. Either the lace or the velcro.
Surprisingly Well Made
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Got a chance to use these and they're pretty rad. I was a bit skeptical at first as Black Diamond's line of shoes is pretty new still, but was pleasantly surprised with my experience. I'll still stick to the La Sportiva's that I have, but if you're interested in these they're a great option. Good fit.
Great beginner shoe
Great shoe for getting into climbing! comfortable, breath easy and are easy to lace up. Happy I found these shoes and for a great price!
The momentums are perfect for spending all day outside they breathe like nothing you've ever worn and don't get as stinky as other shoes (my feet are EXTREMELY smelly)
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
These fit well, are super comfy and I can wear them all day at the crag or in the gym (I've actually forgotten that I was wearing them, and kept them on for hours on end while just hanging out in Big Cottonwood Canyon). Great for toprope and lead if you aren't doing anything too overhanging or technical. The rubber grips well still and the laces allow me to crank them tight for more aggressive climbs when needed!
True to size? If I wear 12 for street shoes, do I need to size up?
Great question. From my personal experience you should be just fine with your street shoe size, and you may even want to go a half a size down if you've been in a number of shoes before and want a little more of an aggressive fit.
