I finally decided on buying an an avalanche backpack for snowmobiling and touring adventures. After trying a few different ones, I decided on the BD Jet force pro. I thought at the time I liked the opsrey Soelden better but the JF Pro sat real well on my back and didn't move around. I also bought the 10 liter expansion. It's easy to change between 35 liter and 10 liter, making it easy to tailor to whatever adventure you might be going on. I'm 5'9, 205 and the S/M fits me great. The avalanche bladder is super simple to repack. The battery powered system makes it easy to travel with as well as practice with. I highly recommend the BD Jet force Pro for anyone looking for an avalanche pack.

The only thing I wish is the lower buckle was in middle not side. It’s hard for me to buckle it with a broken finger. Epic product

Battery doesn’t last

Buyer beware battery life not the best . My battery lasted 3 years now they want to pay another 400us for replacement service. Not ski bum friendly.

Solid pack with a few suggestions

After much research, I decided this was the most dependable pack for the money. I purchased the 35 L and the 10L booster. I think 25L is ample for most tours, but I occasionally pack camera equipment, hence the 35. I've only needed to test deploy, but otherwise, the pack is no heavier than my non-avy pack and very comfortable. Some suggestions: I am a medium-build woman (5'9", 150 pounds), and even I would like the S/M to be a little smaller in the frame. I think it might be too big for the smallest of tourers. The 35L booster doesn't have enough adjustability; when it's not full, it flops around. This makes the 25L necessary for some tours. I would also love for this pack to allow for A-frame ski carry, which would necessitate changing the deploy of the bag I imagine. A larger hip pocket for more snacks would also be ideal.

Best electric bag!

Used this a a number of backcountry tours, from easy trees to steep couloir climbs. Best electric bag out there, hands down. All the features you could want, adjustable size, user friendly, and time-tested. Best part is the weight of the battery/fan is centered low on your back so feels much lighter than it is, compared to other brands that have it high/mid back and very top heavy when carrying. Stop debating and buy it. Only recommendation would be to have some sort of low-profile cinch strap on the bottom half of the main compartment to help compress the bag when less full as the top straps squeeze everything to bottom and pooch it out.

have been using this for several tours. perfectly thought out. the fan air bag is worth the extra price over the canister ones. I can practice at home, I can make sure it works whenever I want with no penalty unlike the canister ones.

Honestly, this setup rocks! I hope I Never need to use it but the performance is unbelievable. Thanks BD for innovating gear to help keep us safer on the slopes/rock/ice!
