Lite, bright and just right.
Lite enough and comfy the resort and uphill backcountry adventure. Like that I can add my whippet to either one when the need arises.

LOVE THEM
Great light weight poles. We have used them for skinning and down hill and they work great. Easy to adjust and really sturdy. Love them!

Almost perfect
I bought these because they seem well constructed and whippet compatible which I had a whippet attachment laying around. They have proven to be much more durable than my previous pair of folding black diamond poles and the whippet attachment goes on and off no problem. I would give 5 stars but, as someone else pointed out in their review, the poles don’t stay completely collapsed; the bottom 2 - 3 inches will float in and out. This seems due to the taper of the pole near the bottom clasp and is just something you’ll have to deal with when using this pole.

Dream Poles
Hard to dream up a more reliable set of poles. The Expedition Three poles have been my go-to for years. They haven't ever broke on me out in the backcountry or on an expedition. These things are burly and light weight. Sure they aren't as light as carbon but the extra protection is well worth the weight. Nothing worse than a broken pole with more laps to be had or a steep peak ahead. I love the adjustments in sizing, short for the way up, long for the skate ski out. Plus an option to add a whippet head, dang!

Great poles with one big flaw…
Great poles! Good weight, great grips, nice feature with the whippet attachment option and camera adapter option! However, when fully collapsing the poles the last 3 inches of the lower part won't be held by the flick lock clamp! The poles are tapering off, and the clamp is too large to securely hold the last bit of the poles. Hence the actual collapsed length of the poles is quite a bit longer than advertised. See my video. I tightened the screw of the lower clamp, but it won't ever grab the pole. Otherwise great product.

Great poles.
Light and sturdy poles. I use them with single or double Whippets which are easily and quickly attached. The foam extended grip is nice to minimize the need to adjust the pole length. The black finish of the lower section scratched easily with ski edge contact, as expected. My biggest concern is the rubber material of the upper grip, which is fragile and may flake with any abrasive contact. I appreciate the short collapses length for pack Cary and storage. Overall I really like the poles and they are a good upgrade over my older aluminum BD poles with whippet compatibility.

Great Poles
I used the old expedition 3 ski pole for several years and liked them enough to get the same model when I accidently lost one in a parking lot. Big fan of the new built-in whippet attachment. Very durable and reliable pole.

Feel solid
I haven't gotten to put them through their paces but initial impressions are very good. They are noticeably more robust than the usual poles I get and end up snapping, the whippet attaches securely and they have a comfortable grip. I personally don't find the strap as comfortable as I hoped but functionally it works.
