Capable Little Orb

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

This light is about the size of a big Grapefruit and lives up to its outsized ambitions. I like that when the internal battery is charged and the auxiliary batteries are fresh, light availability is a given... I don’t even have to think about illumination for my full trip. On its highest setting, dinner prep is easy in the dark. Stable; stays put. Charger is there if/when I need it, so... good. Appropriate tech for car camping and home emergencies.

Easy Go To

Brought this on a recent road trip and was really impressed with how easy this is to use and the different setup options and mounting positions. The dimmer function was a key p[layer in late-night reading when other people wanted to go to sleep. Very cool lantern.

Great Camp Lantern

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This is a great little lantern. Nice to have a USB charge for it so you can charge it in the car while you drive. I used it in our hammock tent and the hooks on the top made it so easy to hang from the center and illuminate the whole tent. I recommend this to anyone looking to light up camp! If you're backpacking a smaller option would be the Black Diamond Moji so you can save some packed weight :)

Solid Lantern

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My favorite parts about this lantern: • Easy to hang in tent or stand up on a table • Plenty of options for charging • Good battery life (with battery life indicator -- no more questioning whether or not your going to go dark at the wrong moment!) • Most importantly = bright and cozy light (with option for dimming) What more could you ask of a camp lantern? All around a great choice!

Great Ambiance

Used this light on a recent car camping trip. Due to the unique two-piece design of the hanger it was easy to hang from the tent's gear loft. It provided bright & soft light for a great ambiance for reading.

I always bring my Apollo Lantern when car camping. It's a great source of lighting and you can charge a phone or speaker so you can rock out around the campfire. This thing rocks!

Can't imagine a better lantern

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is my first lantern. I have gotten tired of headlamps shinning in my eyes so I got this. This is there newest version 2017 it is 250 lumens, has a rechargeable battery (2,600 mA), and last 6hrs on high according to the manufacturer. Want a longer run time you can add batteries. It is about the size of a can of Chunky soup. The dimming feature is great too! I have only used it at home, but my wife commented on the light output, "kinda like being at home" I am not sure what else I would want in a light. It will even charge your phone. UPDATE, Used it for a 2 nigher with my son and was more than impressed. If you can suspend it 7ft off the ground the light is more than enough. My son made me turn it down around the fire.
