Deflated on multiple trips
- Familiarity:

I wanted to love this pad as it is very comfortable but it developed a micro leak after the first weekend trip and began to slowly leak every time I took it out for camp weekends. It would slowly deflate overnight and I would have to re-inflate it around 3am which led to multiple nights of terrible sleep. I attempted to find the leak on several occasions but was unsuccessful - which made me wonder if it was a warranty issue. The final straw was on a camping trip this weekend where it went flat overnight during a snow storm - which forced me bail into my buddy's tent to cuddle up. I am hoping that I can get this pad replaced and I am hopeful that I somehow received a bad unit since it was very comfortable while it lasted.

Bought this pad for camping in Teton and Yellowstone. Had never purchased a better pad before. I bought it because it?s 3?. Absolutely loved it! But on the third night a pin hole developed and the valve is no good. Emailed BC warranty and Brogan is the man. No issues getting it replaced. I love Backcountry and will remain a loyal customer!

I spent quite a bit of time researching sleep pads and needed it for a multiday backpacking trip. This Nemo/ BC collaboration turned out perfect. Nice size in terms of length and width (long and wide). It packed small and light and still offered QUIET comfort at night. Much quieter than the Nemo Tensor which my kids use. Kept me warm down into the upper 20's.

A comfy wide sleeping pad

I'm a big fan of this pad, my previous one would often fold inward leaving my sunken into the middle. This one keeps you supported the whole night and is super easy to pack and has extra space for taller people (I'm 5'7" and have plenty of space if I want to scoot down a bit lower) I'll emphasize the packability of this, it's super easy to get the air out and stuff it into the bottom of the pack. My only issue with this pad is that the inflation process is a bit time consuming and a tad embarrassing lol. I previously had one with a pump and that took almost no time to inflate, but having to breathe into the inflation bag, it takes a bit longer and if you're prone to the giggles it'll take even longer - I get the giggles too much.

Better than Thermarest

Disclaimer: I was given this product by Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. I've had a Thermarest ProLite pad for a few years and always had issues with its roll-up and storage after use. The Backcountry X NEMO Verata pad is longer than my Thermarest, its storage volume 25% of the Thermarest volume (did the math based on packed size and assuming perfect cylindrical shape), and the weight is the same. It's twice as thick as the Thermarest when fully inflated and is incredibly comfortable. I found deflating and roll-up to be easier, too. My only concern was blowing it up but it comes with a handy Vortex that inflation easy. I also tried inflating it on my own and it wasn't too bad. I used the Verata sleeping pad on two overnight backpacking trips as well as a multi-day car camping trip prior to submitting this review.

We have a family of 4 (2 young kids). Now when we go camping it's turned into a battle on who gets to sleep on them (versus our older and WAY less comfortable sleeping pads). These blow up easy and pack down nice and small (we only car camp with them so I can't speak to taking them on the trail). They are insulating (last week we camped and it got down to 38 and breezy) and this plus the sleeping bags kept my kids nice and warm in our tent. At 6'5" I am at the upper range of "fitting" most things. My ankles barely hang off the end when I stretch all the way out - so unless your stretched way out you should fit nicely on this pad!!

Very Niiice
I?ve personally never slept on any air inflated mattress or pad that didn?t lose significant air during the course of the night. Until now. I?m 250 lbs and this pad allowed me to sleep like a billy goat in a barn. Easy to inflate. Highly recommend for extra comfort.

Bring your Bed to the Backcountry

I was lucky enough to be one of the Gearheads tasked with giving ideas to our product team and NEMO to help design this pad, and also got to mess around with it during a photoshoot a few months back! It's definitely much larger and more comfortable than most other backpacking pads out there. No crinkly material means it's nice and quiet so you wont wake yourself up or anyone else camping with you, and it's still not heavy for how large it is! I really love the Vortex capability to get the pad inflated quickly without having to get lightheaded. A definite add to my gear closet for more comfort oriented and calmer backpacking trips!
