Someone who climbs a wide variety of routes and rock types, appreciates that Black Diamond, Wild Country, and Totem cams behave differently at the same size, and wants the option to double or triple up on critical sizes without racking a second harness.

What It's For

Full-range trad climbing at any scale, from fingertip cracks to hand-and-fist terrain

The Quad Rack covers four complete runs of cams across the size spectrum. Rack 1 pairs Z4 sizes .1–.75 with C4 sizes 1–3 for a small-to-mid run using Black Diamond's two flagship lines. Rack 2 is a full C4 .3–3 run. Rack 3 combines Wild Country's Zero Friend .1–.75 with the classic Friend 1–3 for a complete Wild Country answer to the same range. Rack 4 is a full Totem .5–1.8 set, covering an overlapping band with Totem's unique sizing conventions. Together, they're ideal for multi-pitch, long routes, hard redpoints, or any day where running out of gear isn't an option.

Black Diamond's C4 and Z4 share a double-axle design with wide expansion ranges and predictable trigger action. Wild Country's Friend and Zero Friend bring a twin-axle system with extendable slings and a distinct feel that suits granite, limestone, and wandering routes equally well. Totem's cams add independent lobes that self-equalize under load, giving them a notable edge in flared or irregular cracks where a rigid lobe would slip. Having multiple brands across the same size range means we're not just protected by volume, but by protected by geometry, and we can match the cam to the crack rather than forcing the crack to fit the cam.
